But think of the development time that would add on to the game. T&T had 5 cases because the fourth one was short, and several of the cases used pre-existing characters. To have six full cases that weren't just a parade of rehashes, you'd have to tack a lot of time onto the development process.

I'd rather it not take that long for the game to come out :sadshoe:

Technically, they would only have to fully develop four full cases (assuming it's five) since the first is always only a day in court. It's not much different, really. :yuusaku:

And besides, the wait would be about as long as from JFA to T&T since they completed JFA in about a year, and adding an extra case or two should take another few months.

But think about the first cases! They had an original tutorial everytime.
Spoiler: 1st case of each game
PW:AA = Phoenix's first case
PW: JFA = Phoenix has amnesia
PW: T&T = Mia's first case
AJ: AA = Apollo's first case
AJ: WFA = ? What do they do this time? Kristoph's first case???

Grossberg's!
Then make him a defendant later on. An old bitter grossberg. Angry at the world and senile.
That would be awesome :redd:

I like the idea of introducing the Jurist System to the public. Either that, or Apollo gets a hangover.

Still, they don't take as much time as other cases, even though they've become more important.

I can't imagine Apollo getting a hangover. He probably lives a fairly relaxed life outside of court.

Originally it was this pattern:

4, 4, 5.

So it's safe to say they might follow this pattern again for continuous reasons.

(I didn't count RFTA because that was an ADD-ON)

I think the pattern will go like this:

Opposite of the Phoenix arc: 4, 5, 4

Same as the Phoenix arc: 4, 4, 5

Two of the cases in TT were just trials. Would they want to do that again in Apollo Justice?

Even though some of us may hate investigations, I think we all prefer ones with them. Though 3-4 is one of my favourite cases.

Sorry but if there's a pattern, it's for there to be 4 cases. The flaw with the idea that 5-4-5-4-5 is the pattern being followed is that the last game in Apollo's trilogy would then only have 4 cases. It doesn't make sense that they'd overshadow it with the middle game.

I would certainly like to see five cases, even in the T&T situation, but that isn't very likely. Anyone expecting six cases in GS5 is just being unreasonable.

On the bright side, the effort will definately be put into the length of those four cases so the game as a whole will still be long enough. (And don't bother countering with "No length is too long". Capcom have to stop somewhere to get it released.)

The problem I have with 3-4 being trial only (in addition to other complaints >.>) is that it's *not* really a full case anyway. It was a set-up case with no real conclusion. If they're going to do that in GS5, they might as well just do what they did in AJ, and absorb it into the case it connects to.

If what people want is more time in court, you don't need to make 5 and 6 cases, you can just play with the 4 or 5 main cases to bulk them up. At least, that's my feeling.

Yeah, maybe 4-5 cases it'll have.I also heard rumors that there will be 17 cases, and each case has 4 chapters??! :eh?: Stupid people~
I'd rather choose GS5 would have 5 cases. And I need the team to put a tremendouse amount of effort in it like:

+ Making it funnier.
+ Harder.
+ Much more thrilling.
+ Longer.
+ New characters.
+ They should make it in DS features.(Just like 1-5 and GS4)
-----------------------------
That would make GS5 much better than ever~ But I would expect they better make GS5 for maybe..A bigger system? Look,if it still keeps as a DS game won't change.I mean, everytime DSDSDSDSDSDSDSDSDSDSDSDSDSDS~! How about for the Wii?? Then,Gyakuten Saiban would be mega popular and much more exciting! Better graphics, better gameplay, better sounds and music,we can also hear their voices~! That's it. :l

I'd love AA on the Wii but I thought Capcom said they had no plans for it on the Wii.

If there was really an Ace Attorney game on Wii, they could increase the number of cases by making it a set of WiiWare games:

Trial Only Cases: 250 or 500 points
Cases with Investigation : 500 or 750 points
Epic Final Case: 750 or 1000 points

If they did the first option, then a "full game" would come to $20 for the usual four case games, $25 for a game with 5 cases, $22.50 for a game with 2 trial only cases, 2 "filler" cases, and a Finale, like GS3. Or, with the higher prices, which I somehow see as more likely, it would be $30 for a 4 case game, $37.50 for a five case one, and $35 for a game like GS3.
With this method, they could also allow for players to buy only the cases they want, and continue to add cases even after they were done, perhaps simply continuing the old "game" instead of making a "new" one, by adding another "first" and "finale" case. They could also get the game out "faster" by releasing it one case at a time. We'd at least have something to hold us over until the next case.

Well, I can dream...

Anyways, assuming it will be a DS game, I'm thinking it depends completely on the story. If nearly there is a evil mastermind behind the entire game, I'd go with 5. GS3 & GS4 both had 5 cases (I consider Phoenix's flashback a seperate case), and a "main villian". GS1 & GS2 both had only four cases (1-5 doesn't count as it was added for the DS version) , and no "main villian". I think they won't do another "main villian after having them in the last two games, so my imaginary money is on 4.

Interesting. There was a Trauma Center game on the Wii so anything's possible. I heard of a new Capcom fighting game (can't remember what it's called), would be cool if Phoenix is in that :D

You know what? People keep going on about the 5.4.5.4 pattern. But that pattern is a waste of time! Why can't we just have 6 cases!? :hobohodo: :odoroki: :beef:

Expecially in Gyakuten Saiban 6, that will be the last GS of the entire series!

First of all, Why wont you let Apollo have a chance at his own game?

I don't want Apollo to get his own game. :fire:
I don't really hate him but... I don't like him :yogi:
Phoenix should go for the bar exam again, I want him to have a new career as lawyer! And someone should killl Apollo :darke: , then phoenix will get his game back :karma:
