Remember in Phoenix Wright games, you could present random evidence to people, and if it was relevant, it got a response?
Things that don't advance the story, just little comments on the item or whatever. Oh, and presenting profiles, to get responses.IIn GS4 I felt like investigation is just about presenting stuff so you can get to trial. I know people want to hurry to the trial, but I always like to take my time investigating.
Example with very minimal spoilers, but I don't want any complaints, so...
Spoiler:
For example, presenting Gumshoe his own profile in 3-5 made him talk about Maggey buying him a new coat. Completly irrelevant, but I enjoy that sort of thing.

Anyone else want this back? :maya:

YES. And I want to present PROFILES again, that was so much fun. <33

Because people tended to have a LOT more responses with presenting profiles than they would evidence.

It seems people, not Evidence, makes the PW world go 'round. <33

Yeah, I always love those comments. Though I didn't notice a lack of them... I suppose I don't present that many things to people.

But the one thing I want is... oh, never mind. You can guess.

Exactly what I think.

Maybe this is why the characters are a bit... weaker.

Actually, I didn't really like the profiles as evidence thing. It's ok if you show them to people during investigation for me, but during trials it can get tedious and sometimes finding the right piece of evidence gets rather confusing, I.E.

Spoiler:
When you have to show Godot's :godot: profile 2 to 3 times to show things like his mask in case 3-5.

It's the little things in life the game that make it more fun.

I loved those little bits of text. Larry hitting on all the girls you showed him was priceless.

Yes. BRING BACK PRESENTING PROFILES PLEASE! :accordion-head:

I really did miss that in GS4.

I loved the Presenting Profiles as evidence thing :D

I just remembered my favourite, Larry being disapointed that he'd already had a girlfriend called Pearl, because he only ever dates one girl with a name and Pearls is cuter. (He's creepy)

I absolutely loved presenting profiles! It was awesome! Just hearing some people ramble on sometimes is great. I really would like that back, pretty please?

There was a distinct lack of responses to random evidence in AJ. In TnT there was a few times where some characters would respond to almost everything in the court record!

I noted that as well, maybe they are doing the same thing as the PW games, I mean, you couldn't present in the first game, maybe on GS5...

Also the generic Evidence wrong responses during regular cross examinations...they were exactly the same as Phoenix's old ones.

That was a disappointment for me, I think some of the penalty statements are hilarious especially Edgey's one.

:edgeworth: Clearly the evidence contradicts the testimony!
:udgy: I don't see anything....
:edgeworth: Well done your honour I was just testing you!

I was saddened to see what a carbon copy of Phoenix Apollo had become and I'd like for him to get a bit more originality in the next one.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. Bring it back in the investigation sequences please, but not in court. I love the feedback that you can get from the friendly folk outside of court, but I find that when I'm in that situation, I'm often pawing through the items in the Court Record other than the Profiles. If you catch my drift.

That really did tick me off.

There are some funny exchanges between Trucy and Apollo when you go into the 3D evidence mode. Maybe they put more of their gags into that rather than when you present evidence to people at random.

As I understand it they took out presenting profiles in AJ to take down the difficulty level (want new players to get into the series etc etc) so I assume it'll be back in GS5. I'd like to see it back, anyway.

Didn't they just make game 4 on the same base game code as 1-5? That didn't have presenting profiles (because game 1 didn't and they were being lazy) and had Phoenix's quotes. So they probably couldn't be bothered adding them.

I heard the game did have something to do with 1-5 apart from being the only evidence proving 1-5 is canonical it's got the evidence and 3D views still no excuse for not giving him new sayings....it just reeks "cannae be arsed"

I'm split between whether I agree with this thread - I hated presenting everything just in case there was a response the first time through the games, but once you know what to do (and have fast-forward enabled) it's a lot more entertaining.

I didn't notice the lack of extra presents, but I DID notice the one-line "I have no idea what you're talking about"s.
