Title says it all. Now that we know the game's theme is something like "dark days in law", that it stars Phoenix, and that it's confirmed for localization, people over at Capcom USA must already be brainstorming for a name, or maybe they even have one already, and are asking HQ whether or not it's appropiate. So, since we're most probably in the same conditions Capcom USA employees are in, let's do that too. As a kind of prize-less contest maybe (unless someone's willing to give a prize!), let's answer the question: What will be the localized subtitle? Rule Or else. I'm a mod >:) My first guess: |

Trial by Fire was my favorite going into Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, but it doesn't seem appropriate for this game. Maybe something with the word appeal? I mean since Phoenix has overturned his disbarment? |

Damn Trials after Justice is taken. I'm going to gamble it'll be a 3D pun. Something like Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Darkness, Death, Duty Or something silly sounding like that |

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: How Apollo saved my ass and I stole my game back. Or something less great like Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Return to Justice Pierre wrote: I'm going to gamble it'll be a 3D pun. The other titles never seemed to have anything in particular to do with the specific game. They were just cool sounding law related turns of phrase. So it could be something like- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Law and Order or Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Law of the Land Although I do like Trials after Justice. That would be awesome. |

Too bad they already used 'Rise from the Ashes' for 1-5. Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Back in Blue Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: A Bold Return Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: The New Saga 3-D pun? Hmm... Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: A New Dimension Not that it has anything to do with the law or actual story... |

Ah yes, the subtitle. I always joked to myself that this was why AAI2 was never localized. What would THAT have been called? Hmm, I like Trials After Justice but apparently it's already taken? I can't come up with anything really good... Courtroom Chaos? |

I'm going to give this a shot: "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - The Fire Burns On" "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Lawful Revival" "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - The Mentor's Return" "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Magna Carta" "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Ad Infinitum" "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Lex Communis" "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Corpus Juris" "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Body Of The Law" (pretty much the English translation of the above title) "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Sworn To The Law" OK so I seem to favor the Latin titles a lot. Dunno, legal Latin terms just seem really appropriate for the series and I find it weird that they were never included in the game titles before. Then again I suppose it's so the little kids who don't know what those words mean don't get confused (and end up not buying the game altogether). Oh well. |

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Out of Order Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Stricken from the Record Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Conflict of Interest And then I'm out of legal terms. There's always- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: The Dark Lawyer Rises or Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Order of the Phoenix |

And if I recall correctly, "Courtroom Chaos" was a rumored subtitle for GS2 before it was announced for localization. |

Referencing products isn't such a bad idea, it's a win-win situation for developer and product. Imagine Nick stopping at Eldoon's for some noodles-n-Sprite. |

Phoenix uses Bing to search for Court Records. Real Court Records. while he does this, the new assistant uses her special gloves to pick up some Paul Mitchell conditioner. Of course, since it's a Japanese game, they might use brands of the same country or worldwide. |

The first case can be with Apollo before Segway-ing into Phoenix's return. Cut to Edgeworth shopping at Men's Warehouse and I'm sold. |

I hope they ditch the Phoenix Wright part in the name..something like Ace Attorney:(Insert clever pun of law here) and leave it at that. Even if Phoenix is the main focus of the game again (which his silhouette in the game title points to). |

Mainly because I'm betting Professor Layton Vs. Gyakuten Saiban will be localized as Professor Layton Vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Phoenix's name is what people always use to describe Ace Attorney. ("Man, I got the new Phoenix Wright game!") |

Yeah I guess, but I think they're going to take every chance they get to put "Phoenix Wright" on the box as big as they can. The fact that Phoenix is the main star is probably a big part of why its being localized. I still want Phoenix Wright in the title, but I don't know if I want them to just use another subtitle. I too feel like maybe its time for a change in the formatting of the title. |
