True, but Godot's fate was sealed when capcoms script monkies got to work on the plot, his popularity was something that happened after they released the game. Considering the way some people reacted with fierce aversion to HoboNick, I can't see Capcom trying to annoy the fanbase much further. GS5's new villain is going to be someone new to the series like Kirstoph. Although they're quite good at pulling surprise twists. If I hadn't spoiled myself before playing JFA I probabbly wouldn't have caught out Matt le Phsyco Engarde. So we could get another surprise like that or a compilation of previous villains for the finale.

In fact, time for my theory.
A villain being someone returning from the PW era, Apollo taking them down by himself, and Phoenix getting his badge back and starting over, leaving Apollo to let him run his own cases Like 3-5! would probably be a good ending to satisfy both Apollo fans and Phoenix fans.

Actually, yeah. Capcom has released at a convention (I can't remember which one, though.... :hoboright: ), that there was going to be a GS5.
Although there was no further info, so they must still be in pre-planning.
But heck, they've released a new AA game every year since 2005! Why wouldn't they continue?

I think there should be an incredibly cute looking 13 year old boy, but it turns out he murdered Trucy or Apollo. I would rather Apollo died, but anyhow. But once they try to get him to testify, he can either:
1. Control his tension levels (maybe in the first testimony he gives, he can show Apollo who`s in charge by being really tense and therefore making the bracelet squeeze his wrist so hard they have to amputate his wrist. Apollo is hospitalized, and Phoenix becomes the defense attorney.
2. Just be completely emotionless. Have him have only one sprite during every testimony, during everything until the end, where the truth is revealed. He can be sadistic and cruel, like Matt Engarde at the end of 2-4, except constantly evil.

Or Gant. I had a wierd idea recently...
It's Apollo's era, when there turns out to be an unsolveable case on their hands, they travel to a High Security Prison to ask Damon Gant to help, who would be 74 by then, even so, they work along side Gant, who helps them via the phone in prison.
Then it turns out HE'S The murderer.
If only it made sense. xD

I like this idea alot besides the Apollo or Trucy getting killed part. I think a child murderer would be very interesting. No one ever thinks the kids do it !

Well, first off, said killer-child should have no idea about how the bracelet works. Second, this is just lame. Amputate his hand? No.
This is a better idea, but near emotionlessness would make a "cute 13-year-old boy" look suspicious.
