I think it would be neat to have Pearl show up, even for a little bit, because I do not think it'd be much of a stretch for her to have met Trucy before since they're around the same age and I don't think it's far-fetched to think Phoenix could have introduced them... maybe...?
And I wanna know who Apollo's daddy is. Actually, I want Apollo's daddy to be LARRY, but I know that's impossible unless Larry can time travel and fake his own death. Which is well beyond Larry's ability, but still. APOLLO BUTZ. Doesn't that have a nice ring to it???

You could really say the same of Larry, at least Wocky was only in one case for this game...
Truthfully, I don't think there was really much interaction with Wocky outside of the courtroom, considering how often he was in questioning. I'd just like to see how he & his family get along after his operation, especially since I really like both of his parents. I think he would make a very interesting unreliable witness.

again. Maybe each one can just be in one case so it won't be the PW arc all over again. Like, have Maya and Pearls in one case, Edgeworth (I REFUSE to say "Edgey") in one case, and maybe Larry as a defendant or something. It would be nice to see what happened to them.But I guess they'll get total personality changes. Pearls used to be really clueless and really only cared about NickxMaya, so maybe she'll be more mature. Maya would probably be all Master-y. Larry said in T&T that "a real man's life starts at the age of 30" or something like that, so he'll probably improve and possibly be married, since he'll be over 30.
Payne is mandatory as the first prosecutor in every game, so he's definitely in it, whether anyone likes it or not.

So I guess concerning the AJ characters there's not really anyone particular I'd like to see again (apart from the obvious). For some strange reason there wasn't really anyone that interesting as in the other parts, so as long as the main gang (Phoenix, Trucy, Apollo) are back it's fine with me...

Phoenix Wright characters aside, as i really don't want any of them back. (I guess my impression of them might be altered after 7 years) Vera, Klavier and Lamiror. Make a great story involving the basic and new characters and those 3 characters and I'll be happy.

Klavier will probably bite the dust in an early case - probably your first - and you'll get a new prosecutor.
A lot of stink has been made of who the new prosecutor is going to be, and a lot of theories have been bandied about, but as I've heard, the choice is going to be really surprising. My money is on, believe it or not, Maya.
Why? Well, aside from the fact that it's about as unexpected as you could possibly get, it could be explained story-wise as a way to escape the chains of her bloodline (as other people have brought up about Mia as well) but also as a way to work herself back into Phoenix's life. There has probably been some untold estrangement between games 3 and 4. (We're never really told why she's no longer in Phoenix's life, which always struck me as odd.)
I don't think it's too unreasonable a character motivation. IIRC, Phoenix became an attorney in large part to face off against Edgeworth. And PW games love to pound that "history repeats itself" stuff into you again and again.

As to whether it might happen.. can't judge. Depends how eager they are to bring back the old chars in a major way to the plot, for starters. Then, it's a bit of a stretch...

Unfortunately for Maya, they'd lie in every case in the game...
