Well, then, I'd say Ron DeLite, it would be fun though if he reappeared. Larry would have to reappear first, there's just many character's which would be a priority in my opinion before adding not that important characters.
And considering how they did a major cut between GS4 and GS3 I don't think any of them will be back, unless people sent a lot of letters to Capcom, and they obey them

I was wondering when someone would bring up Larry.
There are so many characters from the original GS series that have highly unlikely chances of showing up that I guess its easier to name the ones that might be in GS5.
Characters like Xineohp, Viola, Armstrong, Cody, Grossberg, Adrian and Missle probably will never appear again.

Well, there are, mostly, what happened to each character.
BTW, Lotta could come back, but since she is from the PW arc, I think she would likely be substitued by Brushel. Same goes with the Cadaverini replaced by the Kitaki. I would say those 2 are unlikely to appear then. *Random thought: Maybe there will be a ollopA ?

Those really weren't decisive/big unanswered questions though. Most of it is either pretty straight forward (like with Godot) or things that would be nice to see but aren't really important in the long run.
Anyway, as for characters unlikely to come back I'd just say any of the convicted villains (except maybe Kristoph...) unless there was a case where it centers in prison or something, in which case it would actually make for interesting easter eggs or whatever of certain villains.

Didn't we never hear if Wocky's heart operation was a success? I forget. I hope Wocky comes back. It would probably have to be as a witness or something in a filler case though.

None of the peripheral cast of PW1-3 are likely to return. Outside of Edgeworth, Maya, Gumshoe [?], mayyybe Franzy, nobody not in GS4 has a chance of coming back.
