I had a thread about this on the old backup CR forums, but I figured I might as well make a new one now that the main one is back up.



The Turnabout of Haruhi Suzumiya is a series of three games released by CUBETYPE between 2006 and 2008. It stars the characters from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya series (along with a few cameos) as they take part in a series of Ace Attorney styled trials, with Haruhi Suzumiya serving as the player character and defense attorney.

The games were most likely inspired by an infamous scene in the anime, where during Episode 8, Haruhi reveals the truth behind a staged murder while making constant references to the Ace Attorney games.

The game's five attorney characters are all based off of Ace Attorney characters in terms of many of the their mannerisms. Haruhi is based off of Phoenix, Itsuki Koizumi off of Edgeworth, The Student Council Presdient off of Manfred von Karma, Emiri Kimidori off of Franziska, and Mr. Arakawa off of Godot.



Sadly the games have not been translated into English. Though, the only real thing stopping that from happening at this point is the lack of a tool to export/import/edit the in-game text. If anyone knows of a tool that could do that, please let me know.

Together the three games have a total of 11 cases, with the first two having 3 each and the third game having 5.

From what I can gather (my Japanese skills are insanely basic), Haruhi wills her into existence during a case that uses a VOCALOID CD as a piece of evidence.

If this can get translated, I'd definitely play it. It looks very interesting.
