I think the whole thing's a couple of pixels too low, it looks cut off at the bottom. If you add 2 to the resolution it looks fine.

oh btw. would it be possible to put those scanlines as an overlay on all other pages too, like in the talking part with the advance arrow? from what i see now, other than the text advance arrow part it's all applied to the images that make up the bottom screen.

if so, i'll go through the gui and fix it, removing the lines from the sprites, fixing the transparencies, sizes so that there are no empty gaps visible on the edges and such.

It's not applied to the white border or any corner buttons either.

I need to look upon that. I must have forgotten about the scanlines.

Oh, btw, if someone helps with the chains animations, it could make 1.0c release faster (containing the psychelock stuff).

Basically 1.0c will be the psyche lock release.

oh, also is there some positioning bug? i noticed, that stuff for some reason is moved 1 pixel to the left and up, so to get correct coordinates in some cases while coding characters i had to use their starting pos -1.

it can be also visible on some of the background images. the talking arrow for example, there's a black line of pixels on the right and bottom of the lower screen, where you can sometimes see stuff like the speedlines/gavel until i fixed them.

I think I never changed the positioning, but i'll look into it.

Serio, did it appears on the last version of aige or was there before?

I think I have an idea for an interesting feature: placement correction. basically:

setobjectcorrection("objaname","objtype",xdif,ydif);

As usual, Maya added to the SCS.

Btw, I was thinking on forming a group to develop a small PWLib game that would serve as test for PWLib (and demo to be delivered with PWLib itself.). Anyone who want to help, let me know.

OHH, something just came to me: the CRO sprites sizes.

I'll add some functions that will resize the CRO defaults, so Serio, you can still use all your CRO work and use new ones.

500 was about?

Possibly something like: runscript("pw_usealternativecrosizing");

Yes! If you want you can use the Don sprites to test this. I just took the Gumshoe Sheet and edited it to be Don.

And for those who may not get it, the 500 was about CR's 500 errors that cause double posting.
I made that a while ago and used to use it to indicate that I had been 500'd.

Contains:

  • PWFont
  • Updater

  • DirectX (download)

I'll need the position and sizing (to fit correctly).

Those are the functions (both have same body now, but alternative will contain the correct sizing and positions)

Code:
[pw_crosizesdefaults]
setgenobjsize("pw_croprosecutor",50,70);
setgenobjsize("pw_croattorney",50,80);
setgenobjsize("pw_crojudge",30,30);
setgenobjsize("pw_crowitness",100,100);
placegenobj("pw_croprosecutor",37,78);
placegenobj("pw_croattorney",172,70);
placegenobj("pw_crojudge",113,46);
placegenobj("pw_crowitness",78,80);

[pw_crosizesalternative]
setgenobjsize("pw_croprosecutor",50,70);
setgenobjsize("pw_croattorney",50,80);
setgenobjsize("pw_crojudge",30,30);
setgenobjsize("pw_crowitness",100,100);
placegenobj("pw_croprosecutor",37,78);
placegenobj("pw_croattorney",172,70);
placegenobj("pw_crojudge",113,46);
placegenobj("pw_crowitness",78,80);

Just so everyone know: the installer downloads the RAR archives (core from KSA, GFX from GW). It contains (legally) the UnRAR executable, which it uses to unpack the RAR - so you don't need WinRAR/7-zip to open the RAR.

btw. i've been wondering, since you have some php scripts keeping track of how many people downloaded pwlib, would it be possible to somehow make it so that script generates a picture with the data, then link that picture in your signature or something for other people to see the numbers? :P

@Serio: Great idea. I pretty much maintain that script - but am not very good at graphics. If you (OR SOMEONE ELSE) make me a base graphic (i.e. the script will overlay the stats using GD) then it could be done.

i mostly thought of having the picture just show the number, i'm not that good at graphic design myself. :P

anyway
Code:
[pw_crosizesdefaults]

setgenobjsize("pw_croattorney",64,128);
setgenobjsize("pw_crojudge",32,32);

placegenobj("pw_crowitness",64,64);
http://serio.piiym-net.com/leech/CRO.7z

the original pack. i tried to add the gs4 sprites too, but they still don't fit in, although that's because the courtroom in gs4 has a different layout. the ropes are placed differently so they don't obstruct the character, the desks are differently shaped and more far apart, the witness stand is lower etc. it'll probably have to use its own position modifier.

i made everything pow2 compatible as well, just in case.

Ok, Serio. Those will be the alternative sizes. I'll add it.

Also if the GS4 courtoom is different, then I need to add a third function that places all stuff in their correct place. As I get hold of my notebook again, i'll add the new positions, and CRO.

I'll include your CRO pack on the PWLib 1.0c release.

CRO means CourtRoom Overview (for those who didn't knew). :wave:

won't putting this as alternate sizes screw up the default ones? i had to resize the images, so if the default values stay as they were, the sprites will be misaligned and scaled down.

i'd think, changing the default values to the gs1-3 courtroom sizes that i just made, and adding gs4 one with another set of variables could work. alternate size values would be left blank/default for people to add it into their scripts and modify to their heart's content, and included in the tutorial.

No, it won't. PWLib automatically calls the default sizes one. If you want to use the alternatives, just call it once and you will be using alternatives.

runscript("pw_initpwlib");
runscript("pw_crosizesalternative");

The only limitation is that (using those funcs) you use all default or all alternative. I might separate each ofbject size setting on a function if needed.
