Update on PWLib:

Court Record Animation partially complete. PWLib Hayase will ship with a different CR animation sequence for the detailed evidence/profile effect (because AIGE will need an extra support), but nothing that will cripple playability.
With this, CR Menu Effect is completed, with only the Cross Examination Menu Effect left for release.

PWLib reaches 99% completion as of now.

99% is quite the bit.

I may not actually begin development of Banjo: Ace Attorney until tutorials are released though, which I hope is soon. But I will still download this for the time being.

I also really hope that Sprite Sheet Tutorials are released because judging what we talked about over in MSN, there seems that each and every sprite table has to be in a certain format.. :/

It will be part of the Custom Characters Tutorial.

I'll finish Cross Exam screen and work on the tutos.

Examine works by defining up to 5 rectangles that will be the regions for examination. It is just a bit hard to define the regions right, but still it is working perfectly.

I'll explain it on the tutorial since it will look cryptic to explain here (as I didn't do that tuto yet).

It's not just you. Although there wasn't a problem a couple days ago.

I'll probably make a test case before I begin my main case, kind of like Case 1 of each game- that is, no detective work, simply court procedures. I'll need to think of a good plot, though...

Limit is 5 areas, but I can make it have more if necessary. Each area is an object, so nothing hard to make it work with more.

Strange, my site not working. I restarted the server, re-updated the ip... I can access the server normally (and it still needs to resolve the ip).

No, no... when you want to examine, you can set up to 5 areas that will be the "clues". The number of examines are unlimited.

Argh, I'm getting impatient over here. Can't wait for the release.

...Of course, given my tendency to never finish anything, it's unlikely I'll ever really get through a whole case - if nothing else due to the fact I probably can't be arsed to sprite anything. :garyuu:

After sweaty and bloody hours of programming, the light came.

As of this minute, Cross Examination Effects have been completed. (A bug on the slide was also corrected in the process).

PWLib Hayase reaches 100% completion. To release, just a revision is required (adding sfx and fixing some objects positions) that won't take more than a DAY (at most) to be performed.

Also now I can work on the PWLib In a Nutshell Tutorials in integral time.

Also I need some help to make a good PWLib logo, if someone wants to help.

PWLib Hayase: Believe it.

Just to classify on what KSATech said about examine areas (the meaning of what he said was a bit unclear, so asked on MSN for clarification):
He means that in one location, you can have up to 5 areas that, when examined, will cause something to happen.
However, he also mentioned he's changing this to 10.

This is VERY exciting! Hayase within a day! Thanks for all your hard work and dedication, KSA! :D

Any word on having multiple channels for MP3 files? Doing voice-overs in WAV format is kind of impractical, the data would be too much for downloading over the internet very easily. Even if we only have 2 channels for MP3 it would be great!

I wouldn't say within a day because there are tutos to work on. Believe me, without tutos, it will be hard (to almost impossible) to do something with PWLib (and the test file is kinda cryptic for reference).

About the site: for some strange reason, it takes ages to connect. As I get home i'll work on it.

Update on server status: it seems that my phone line has problems, so that is the cause of the server "looooooong" response time (yeah, it replies, but takes ages). When did the server problems started, btw?

I couldn't revise pwlib today up to now due to the server problem, and getting late at home, so I may revise some of it now and finish it tomorrow.

More 2 days of university and i'll have a 10 full free-time days to work 100% on pwlib tutos.

It requires coding, although the coding isn't exactly hard from what I saw. Tutorials are being made before the program will be released.

Not sure I understand the phrasing of your question, Flashpoint...

Something I was concerned about, even for my own project, is looping music; no one likes having a song fade out and back in in the middle of a trial. I'm sure "looped" versions of the popular themes will be in demand.

PWLib is coding. But it isn't hard unless you want to innovate and make custom stuff.

PWLib will have, in the future, an editor for easiness. Coding required for PWLib isn't something that you will need an editor to do. (and be organized, of course).

You can read a simple AHLSL code and understand it if you know English and has little to no introduction to the language. PWLib was developed to be easy to use and understand too.

Code from tutorial 03:

Code:
runscript("setlipsynctochar");
runscript("showpwchar");
runscript("pw_showmessagebox");
runscript("pw_enableemanormal");
runscript("pw_setnameboxtoema");
message("Oh, hello.");
message("My name is Ema Skye!");
runscript("pw_setnameboxtotrucy");
runscript("pw_enabletrucynormal");
message("Oh, hello. My name is Trucy.");
message("I'm a magician.");
runscript("pw_setnameboxtoema");
runscript("pw_enableemanormal");
message("That's cool! But scientifically \nspeaking...");
message("Magic doesn't exist.");
runscript("pw_setnameboxtotrucy");
runscript("pw_enabletrucynormal");
message("Scientifically speaking...? \nHmmm...");
message("But does magic needs to be \nproven?");
runscript("setlipsynctonoone");
runscript("pw_setnameboxtophoenix");
message("(I better not try to argue \nin this one.)");
runscript("setlipsynctochar");
runscript("pw_enableemanormal");
runscript("pw_setnameboxtoema");
message("What do you think, Mr. \nWright?");
runscript("setlipsynctonoone");
runscript("pw_setnameboxtophoenix");
message("Ah?");
message("Well... Ah...");
