The site is down because my server pc is down (Windows died). As the old server HDD is nearing death (too many bad sectors), and the DVD drive is broken, I decided to buy new ones. But I forgot to buy one additional SATA cable so I can't install windows again until I get one. I hope that today I get that one cable and put windows up (and the server).

What's this talk about a "Mikumo extension"? I've seen several fangames discussing about this.

It's the PWLib Extension that adds most of Ace Attorney Investigations / Gyakuten Kenji's features to PWLib. That includes moving around the crime scene, Logic Mode, Confrontation, Multi-Characters on-screen and most main features in AAI.

Originally, I only made the GIF to Sheet. After a while i considered making a animation code output from a gif, and them I unified both ideas and made the GIF to Animation.

Using Gif to Animation for temporary animation creation is ok, but nothing beats making the animation directly with SAS (lower memory usage, lower animation creation during runtime, etc). The problem with direct from gif is that no optimization is done (tons of duplicated frames, slow sheet creation even with cache, etc).

With the GIF to Sheet and GIF to Animation code, making a SAS animation is a lot faster and easier then before.

Sweet. Everything looks all set. I enjoyed (read "spent many nights trying to put together a 15 minute demo game) using 1.1, but felt it was ... Incomplete. All these updates indeed lead me to believe that this is a 2.0, not a 1.2, unless our good friend KSA_tech programmed an "EPIC FAIL" sequence into the program. :keiko: :yuusaku:

you didn't do that, right? :beef:

I was doing some work on AIGE and the text rendering issue on the Perceive is fixed, but there is a small issue with the speed of the talking animation during Perceiving. AIGE has a bug that prevents animation speed changing on Character LipSyncing that I plan to fix soon (have a Calculus III test today). Once this bug is fixed, i'll start selecting the rest of the Beta Testing Team members (I plan for 4 positions).

Also the Teams page on the site was updated (as well some other parts of the site). The Teams page now contains a list of "open positions". Those positions are areas I need help on (like on proofreading for the upcoming PWLib Unleashed). The Application Form for those will be available soon.

@GenoWhirl
Lauren Paups was added.

@SkuldOMG
The default doesn't contain the newly created characters to avoid confusion with changing default packages. That is why I added the updater on 1.2.
If I recall well, YggdrasilSword posted the link for Edgeworth recently.

@in_the_bushes
With the implementation of the Extension System, most new features were added via extensions (such as the Psyche Locks, AAI Logic, Perceive, etc), so the PWLib Core is 1.2. If the whole content was added to the core directly (instead of Extensions) would make PWLib easily 2.0 (or even 3.0).
Extensions will have their own versions. Probably in the release of 1.2 the Updater might list Extensions separatedly. That is an idea I'm thinking on.

Some news about PWLib 1.2 Beta:
I fixed the issue on AIGE (now it is possible to even set the speed of lipsycing animations to a char object). I'll prepare for the 2nd Phase of the Beta, so it may begin soon. The plan is to select 4 or 5 people for this phase.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
News
- (AIGE) Fixed issue with Animation Speed and Lipsycing. Now Lipsync Animations on Character Objects comply with AIGE Animation Standards.
- (AIGE) Added ability on characters to store a lipsync animation modifier value. Now it is possible to make lipsynced animations go according to a defined speed.

          [/flutters in on golden clouds]

          I don't really have much to say or ask, but I would like to introduce myself around here if only because I plan to get involved with the PWlib community from here on out. |D;; I've actually been working on a fangame with PWlib for quite a while now, though I'm the kind of person who likes to put off talking about it until the last minute because I want my work to be perfect before people look at it... [/ramble] XD;

          Anywho, I'm scarfu, and I'm working on Justice is Blind, which will definitely be put together entirely with PWlib. I've tried the other methods of fangame creation, and I find PWlib to be the most powerful engine... that, and the language isn't hard to catch on to at ALL, which is good for a little derp like me. |D I had about two cases coded and playable before my computer crashed and I lost it all, and so I'm gonna wait until 1.2 (which I am SO pumped for btw.) comes out until I begin coding again. |D By the way things are looking, it seems like it'll be coming out soon...? o uo [/could be wrong]

          So yeah, I just wanted to make my presence known, and if there's ever anything I can do (I was gonna offer to help animate some of the Investigations sprites, but I chickened out XD;;;), I'll do my best to help out~ |D

          I also wanted to say thank you for working so hard on this engine, KSA and everybody else who's contributed, because it's really a lot of work and I'm glad something like this is available to those of us who are slightly technologically challenged. XD <3

You need to script your game on a txt or hlsl file, then place it on the auto folder. This script file needs a script block/function named "game" for that message to not show.

eg.

[game]
//begin my game here
//load pwlib, etc

If you're going to use AIGE for a non-PW game. You're going to have to learn AIGE's own custom programming language, AHLSL.
There really is no tutorial on AHLSL yet, so you're just going to have to look at PWLib in a nutshell or ask KSA_Tech for help.

Beta News:

This is the last weekend that the Sign In form for the Beta will be open.
As I close it, I plan to start selecting the 5 people thatwil be part of the beta.
My idea is to announce a new beta tester per day. Once the first one is announced, the 4 others will be announced on the next days.
I'll try to decide quickly as I have someone special on my life to give attention to.

A small change on Beta selections. Of the 5 beta tests, I selected 2 only (almost 3) now.
I'll let the sign in open until the last name is selected.

Also I plan to announce the first name today, and maye give a reason on why each name was selected.

PS: I won't triple-post just to announce the names.

About the beta name selection: I already selected 3 of the 5 names:

- OniXera

I'm unsure of the last 2 (or 3, as I may consider 6 instead of 5 testers).
