If you want to be in, Post an RPG sprite (all I need is a sprite of you walking up, down, left and right, about the size of ML sprites) and a larger sprite for battling
(take a phoenix wright sprite for example, about that size, but, if possible, pls make the larger sprite full)
Also, you can include morei nfo about yourself.
The Main Villian will be me, a Zombie/Human mix trying to take over the world.
Available positions are:
Civillians
Heroes
Villians
And other things you can think of.
If you can think of a good name, please post it here.

Why XP>VX? My brother and I are RPG Maker newbies, but he said he likes VX better (not sure why). Anyways, it'd be nice to know if one is significantly better than the other before we make a whole game in it.
And, in the interest of not being a thread hijack, my suggestion is to make the main villain a more neutral figure - that is to say, not you. Maybe use someone like the Judge or Croik if you get her permission. Basically, it's kind of awkward if you elevate yourself as a Court Records user above the other users/playable characters by making yourself the main villain. It'd be more accessible if you used someone more common to everyone's experiences.
(also, it's mostly fangame makers reading this board, and you might be better off directing people here from somewhere else. Put it in your sig or something. Most of us are pretty different from the people who participate in the site a lot)

http://www.rmxp.org/ (yes, they're a site for both XP and VX, despite the URL) has a few 8-way movement scripts on there.
As for XP vs VX... my main criticism of VX is that, without using custom scripts (which are harder to configure than it being a setting by default), you can't use custom backgrounds in battle... Also, VX has a few bugs by default, but there's a script available on that site to fix them.
RPG Maker XP is useable on Vista btw, it just needs an update patch installed (not sure where to get it, ask on that site I linked).

Is this merely a zombie survival RPG (meaning you mistyped, meaning to type "Protagonist" rather than 'haro" and "Antagonist" rather than "Villain") or is it a Sentai (Superhero) RPG?

I'd also like to know which RPG Maker you're using Insani. We'll need to know if we're to supply you with sprites. There are quite a few measurements that need to be taken!
For the record I'd STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST VX because of a lack of resources at the moment and a lack of functionality (unless you have more-than-decent knowledge of RGSS2).
There's not much of a difference between the two makers if you know the basics of how RGSS/2 work (having knowledge of Ruby is a plus). Graphical-wise XP is sort of better (no SQUARE TILES thing like VX) but it has lagging problems. VX is very square (literally) and IMO it's meant for old-school RPGers who prefer the likes of Final Fantasy I over Tales of Symphonia or something.

Although an Ace Attorney style game CAN be done with VX (which is pretty awesome). See: that Drunk Attorney game hidden somewhere in this forum.
EDIT: Ohh, I forgot VX allowed you to change the screen resolution, I'm not sure if XP can do that (never bothered to check, I'm a 2k3 guy really)

I fail to see such a significant difference between the two to warrant a FF1 vs. ToS comparison.
Admittedly, having already started a game with VX, I'm inclined to be a little defensive. I recognize that, being older, XP has many more resources (and VX starts with such a limited tileset anyways) but it seems as if VX is quicker at making maps. It also sounds as if VX is more newb friendly at the expense of customizability. I don't know if this is an entirely accurate understanding (and I'm not the programmer for my game, I'm the scriptwriter. I'm asking on his behalf).

Thanks for this. I was really getting ready to kick myself for getting VX and not XP.
Given time, it sounds like VX can be decent.
And staying on topic, that reminds me - Insani, most of the existing stuff for RPG Maker VX that I'm aware of is fantasy-style. There's more likely to be something for XP around that's modern enough to be used for a contemporary setting. That, or you could set it in a rural village.

And we're havng giant mugshots for battling? That sounds like a lot of work. Perhaps you should focus on just making good animated attacks and keep our little MLSS characters.
