What's up, guys.
After being houseridden today with a shitty medical condition, I decided I had nothing better to do with my time than make a Phoenix Wright inspired Monopoly.

So thusly, I went and found a template online on
this lovely blog and set about making my Objectionopoly. The game is designed to be printable and playable, though getting a printer big enough for the board itself may take a bit of looking around!
Phoenix Wright: Ace Monopoly (yes, I've called it by three different names thus far) comes with:
- Custom Board (I'm not a fan of the centre image, but it's the best out of 8-9 that I've tried) at a super hi-res
- Custom Property Cards
- Custom Chance/Community Chest Cards
- Custom Money
- Custom Player Tokens
It's set in a GS 1-3 era mainly because I couldn't figure out a good way to include AJ and keep the logo. >< Also no GK references that I can remember except for retconning the airport from the end of GS2 into iFly. I've changed some basic mechanics about the game, which are listed heeeeeeere:
- Utilities are all removed and replaced with "Court Fees" - that $200 or 10% thing is now on the board four times because I couldn't come up with any easy alternatives for utilities. :D
- I basically said up yours to traditional Chance/Community Chest Cards. Honestly, both sets do pretty much THE SAME THING so I dunno, both of them have an equal chance to reward you or screw you over.
- If you wanna use houses/hotels you can, but I haven't CHANGED them or anything. Still the same old houses/hotels from vanilla Monopoly.
- Actually no, I think that's about it. Look, it's 2:30 AM and I have spent twelve hours straight on this. Cut me some slack. ;-;
I've made some custom player tokens too; yes, you can only have up to 6 players in Monopoly, but there are
fifteen players for you to choose from. Holy shit. I know. If you're looking to make some fairly sturdy player tokens, I've come across a pretty nifty tutorial online that you can easily adapt for this purpose
here. Apart from that, if you're looking to print it, use some card or something, I dunno. I am new to this whole scene!
I'm well aware that this is outside the interest of a lot of people on this forum, but I thought it would be a fun little experiment, and it was a fun way to waste a day (12 hours straight on this thing and counting). I'm looking into printing this out and doing the tokens all proper and all that jazz so I have a full-blown RL copy of this in a few weeks, so when that happens I'll post some photos. Feel free to beat me to the punch!
Thanks for reading, guys. Feedback is appreciated, and I'm more than willing to change things around based on suggestions. If I like 'em. ;) This isn't the last PW board game I'll do; Monopoly was my second choice, but I'm sure a little bit of hunting around will find a template for my ideal PW board game...
DOWNLOAD HERE (~30 MB)This is not interactive, consider it a template of sorts. Just so, y'know, you don't expect it to be a super fancy game or something, there's just a bunch of hi-res images in a zip.If this belongs somewhere else, ie. base Present Evidence, could someone let me know? :)
EDIT: hhahahahaa holy shit, i just went and googled objectionopoly and apparently someone has already beaten me to the punch. we even used lordly tailor/blue screens inc. in the same place. ><
