My Government class has an interesting project: get assigned a random Supreme court case and make something of it. A video, a letter, anything. I decided I'm going to make a Phoenix Wright Case Maker game for mine. I've been assigned the case of Gonzales Vs. Oregon, about doctor assisted suicide. I've got quite a bit of work ahead of me.

The story cannot possibly take place during the PW timeline, so don't expect it to make sense chronologically. (Godot has already been introduced, but Dr. Grey is still alive? OBJECTION!) Dr. Turner Grey has been taken into court for euthanizing terminal patients. Phoenix has agreed to be his defense attorney to convince the court that this is not a crime. Godot is prosecuting. The case will be more of a story than a game, though, as there is no "mystery" to solve.

What do you think? Got any tips? Or any ideas? This is my first time using the Case Maker, so I might make a few novice mistakes.

Spoiler: Here's the part where I ask for help with the Case Maker
I'm having trouble getting my game into an EXE. When I click to build it, the "Make mah game, you dawg!" window comes up, goes to 100%, then a command prompt box opens and closes until I cancel it. I'd ask this on the Wiki linked to in the program, but the site appears to be down.

I would doubt that you could easily get one finished in time before your deadline. Sorry :(

It's just, there have hardly been any that have actually been complete yet.

priceless.

It doesn't need to be amazing, it just needs to get the information across. I managed to get through the introductions and got to the court itself in an hour, and I don't expect the trial to last longer than ten minutes, so I think I can do this in two weeks.

I assume this is a "click to go to next screen" type thing?

I could easily help you if you were using PWLib. I don't know anything about Case Maker.

No offence to whoever made it, but Case Maker II has a horrible UI. It would probably be quicker learning how to use PWlib than trying to make a full case with that editor.

You guys forget this is a school project. Anything other than Case Maker or Ace Attorney Online would be silly.

Mr Cheese, I'm obligated to say you're wrong.

PWLib is not a silly option for this, even if it is a school project in the terms Scorchio17 posted.

Looking at your post for it, it does seem rather difficult to learn an entire programming language and make a case in two weeks. I don't find the casemaker difficult, just a bit limiting (I'd like to be able to make colored text and evidence with a "check" button for lists and the like, but oh well)

However, I will definitely look at PWlib if I have an idea for a case that doesn't have a deadline.
