okay first post and not at all sure if this is the right place to put it or not.

But long story short I'd like to make a short game for my friends birthday (only one case) and his birthday is in May

ANYWAYS. I have the sprites, I have the whole story mapped out. But i'm not so good with the codes and stuff (being more of an artist myself)

I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for something I could either a) use to make the game myself or help me out with the codes over msn or something.

Is the hard part the coding or coming up with everything?

Me and DeMatador are available to help with PWLib coding. I'm mostly on on MSN (when I'm not playing Resident Evil 5 or some other game on steam).

Also opinions about what's hard and easy is relative. I find programming easy while drawing sprites very complicated. But I can safetly say that with someone helping, coding gets a lot easier to deal with.

If you decide to use PWLib, let me know. I'll be on MSN.

Coding and scripting is a very tedious thing to do with all the current casemakers. If you want something very easy and userfriendly to use, try Ace Attorney Online which requires pretty much 0% Coding.
All in-game sprites, music/sounds, and backgrounds are already implemented into the system, and its not complicated at all to add your own custom things such as your own sprites, music, and backgrounds. Good luck to you! :keiko:

Edit: *giggles* I beat B12 to the punch. :godot:
I remember when CR was cool and Croik was the only one in charge.

I also remember when we used to have respectable members. :(

Coding is only difficult when you first begin to use it (if, for instance, it's your first time using it).

The casemaker you choose also determines how difficult coding will be.

Ace Attorney Online requires no coding, is very simple and works perfectly fine. Although it's not as complex as other casemakers, you won't have to worry about the coding portion as much. You also most likely won't need any help using it.

Like everyone else has said already, Ace Attorney Online is very simple to use and even as a beginner, you could easily make a case.

However, remember that when you go with the easy scripting programs, you do lose some of the quality. For instance, PWLib may be slightly difficult to use, but the result is outstandingly authentic, and as you go through the other casemakers, PyWright is slightly easier to use with not quite authentic results, and Ace Attorney Online is easy, but loses quite a few features of the original games.

So you have to ask yourself if you want a good quality case or just a little fun project that you can make easily. If you do want the good quality case, I recommend using a downloadable casemaker such as PWLib or PyWright. Both KSA_Tech(PWLib) and saluk(PyWright) can help you with anything you need to know, so it's definitely an option.

Good luck with this!
