Ok, a few days ago (or yesterday) I got an idea for a game:

PHOENIX WRIGHT: HOBO ATTORNEY

--------------------------------

You play as Hobo Phoenix for 3 cases, and play as an other defense attorney in 1 "other" case

Spoiler: Characters
Phoenix Wright: The Defense Attorney. He is such a hobo.

Godot: Godot somehow got out of jail after 7 years. Victim in the fourth case.

Spoiler: Cases
Case 1:Turnabout Graphic
This case will include my custom character "PolygonD"
It will include the return of Phoenix in the courtroom, and the murder of edgeworth!

Okay so you want to make a game about Hobo Nick. Super.

What are you going to make it in? Do you have sprites, ideas for cases, a few graphics or characters? Do you understand the case makers, do you think you could make a 4 case game?

It's great that yesterday you decided you wanted to make a game, but you're going to need a lot more then that if you want to finish it.

Which casemaker?
..Is your story planned out?
....Do you know what the cases are?
.......Are you not going to whine about replies to your topic?
........Are you prepared to... make the case?
...........Heck, are you prepared enough to even type up more ads for it!?

If you answered no to all of these questions, then please stop posting about it.

... *sigh* this section needs some rules. This is getting frustrating. >:\

I used to go to a site where if you didn't have at least a few screenshots in your topic, it would be instantly locked.

But yeah, if you answered no to even more then 3 of BigFish's questions, reconsider making your game.

Okay, so you do seem to have an understanding of what to do. That might be some good information to append to your original post, instead of making us press you for it.

In that case, I wait to see your game, and congratulate you on your undertaking.

and BF's fourth question was asking if you'd post "OMG GUYS WHY DON'T YOU REPLYYYYY"

For making the case, I'd recommend AAO. ( http://aceattorney.free.fr/ ) It seems to be suited for these types of cases more, runs on all three major platforms, and is very easy to use. If you'd rather make the case offline, I'd recommend PyWright. Until the not-working-on-most-PCs problem is fixed with PWLib, it might not be the best idea to use it anyways. I actually like it, PWLib's scripting and all, just the audience would be a bit limited with PWLib.

Just don't use Mecha's CM2. It's very limiting to say the least, and besides, I think AAO is probably easier anyways. :)

What kind of error did you got? Let me know, since 1.1 is supposed to work on way more pcs.

As I recall, the only issue that PWLib had was AIGE's render issue (that was fixed on AIGE 700 that ships with PWLib 1.1).

Sounds like someone needs to check his startup script.

Also did you actually call your game Game in the files and stuff?

...now read the tutorial and write a case.

AIGE/PWLib DOES NOT by default come with a case. If you have made a file, make sure the function (the bit in [ and ]) is called "game".

Yeah.
Don't do that.

Ask Mr. Friendly http://www.ksatechnologyhq.com:1357/pwlib/PWLib_in_a_Nutshell.pdf for help. Mr. Friendly Tutorial is always here to help. Mr. AIGE is busy and if you disturb him he will set your house a blaze.

And if the answer you seek cannot be found, invest in aide from Sensei KSA.

If you still keep the idea of using PWLib, and have some issues with it, I'll be available on CR for questions and such. If you have MSN it can be even better in some cases.

Spoiler: Murders
You plan on killing off both Edgeworth and Godot? Isn't that a little much?

And both in the first case?

Hmm... either that is an idiotic mistake, or too much as you say.

I feel bad with myself, BigFish. Question 4.

Anyway, Insani99999's problem could as well be that tutogame.hlsl is not on the auto folder. Try it, Insani.

Actually, I'm pretty sure his problem is he didn't bother coding anything before trying to run his case.

Could as well be. But if he did, and he's still got that issue, he must move tutogame.hlsl to the "auto" folder in the folder where AIGE is. I mean, if AIGE.exe is in Desktop/PWLib/Hayase 1.1, then, there must be a folder Desktop/PWLib/Hayase 1.1/auto. Initially, tutogame.hlsl will be in "Hayase 1.1" (your PWLib folder, this is an example). If you coded and you still have that issue, then move tutogame.hlsl to "auto", OK? Just in case.
