The story centers around a new lawyer initially starting her first case (what's new). She is quite nervous, but, in a style similar to Yu-Gi-Oh, transforms when in the courtroom when she gets in the zone. The story takes place in the years 2000-01, approximately 15 years before the events of GS1.

Many of the GS characters make their return (or, in effect, show up for the first time) in the story, albeit fifteen years younger. The underlying theme lies in the transformation of the main character from shy and awkward to a powerful woman through all the events (positive and negative) that happen to her.

(Pronounced Tee) Age: 21
The protagonist in the story. She is the defense attorney (almost) always. Initially begins in her first case, which, to her dismay, is a murder. After a severe mental breakdown, she found herself in quite a jam, but, with her sister's aid, pulled through a series of problems. Through the game she gets stronger and eventually, she may, in turn, save others who have similar problems. Under everything, she is actually more of a genius than her sister, with an I.Q. clocked at just over 200.

Age: 24
Defense Attorney that acts as aide for Lisa's trials. She is Lisa's sister and closest friend through most of Lisa's life. She has been an attorney since the ripe age of fifteen and has participated and won over 400 trials in her 9 year run. In the area, she is the first choice attorney for any case and she does not usually deny opportunities. Over 95% of her clients have been found not guilty on the first day of court proceedings. She has never received a penalty despite her near-contempt of court moments.

Age: 26
Lead prosecutor in all cases after the first case. For some reason, Jace has held a bitter resentment for Lindsey for as long as he has been a prosecutor, even though he has never prosecuted a case against her. He is overly inquisitive and has been on the receiving end of many a penalty.

ADDING LATER - Age: 36
Initially joins the story as a man accused of murder.

Age: 16
A student in her final year of high school. She has an overly-outgoing personality and is always among friends. However, her tendency to be the center of attention stems from her inability to cope with her issues with dependency. She tends to cry often when someone accuses her of something, true or false, as spends a lot of time with her father.

Age: 42
The lead detective for all cases. He is rather unlucky, as he tends to find himself in the line of fire for different cases. Still, he has a big heart and is unusually prone to sticking to proceedings in the courtroom.

A body is discovered hanging from a tree by the arms early one morning. The defendant attempts to hire Lindsey the prodigy, but she sends the new lawyer, Lisa, to handle the case in her stead.

A man with a huge loan due to his gambling addiction is found murdered in his own home. Apparently, it happened in broad daylight, many heard him, but nobody came to his aid.

When a medium is sent to summon the spirit of a man that had recently died, another death ensues at the meeting.
