Hello, everyone! Pess here. After brooding about all through December, I have decided that it's time for me to step into the wonderful world of PW fangames. So, as of the 28th of December, 2009, PESSTAR and Co. proudly present...

Thank you so much for the logo, Auraion! <3
The game will focus of the life and times of Gregory Edgeworth, Miles' father, before he was killed on December 28th, 2001. There will be many familiar faces, as well as three major original characters. There will be new areas to explore, and a new system to use in the process of uncovering the truth (like Phoenix's Magatama, or Apollo's Perceive ability).
The game will take place in Sacramento, California, and Los Angeles, California.
There will be five cases, with one being primarily investigation and utilizing, possibly, a confrontation system in the style of Gyakuten Kenji. Gregory and little!Miles will be the only playable characters.
The game will be fully narrated by a team of voice actors scrounged from C-R and beyond. The option to play the game without narration will be available.
During and in-between cases, there will be cut-scenes in the style of the Professor Layton games.
The game will be made on PWlib.
Updates28 May 2010 -- AHAHAHA THIS IS KIND OF A LATE UPDATE ISN'T IT. Well, better late than never, I suppose! ;; Anyway, due to various obligations and issues that have arisen in recent months, I've had to put off work on GE:AA until the summer, when I'll have bags of time to work on my various projects with school and work-related obligations stressing me out. :3 I have been doing a little bit of odd work here and there -- I'm revising and editing Case 1's script, as well as tweaking Cecelia, Oliver and Shamus' outfits and working a bit on the scripts of Case 3 and 4 (nothing big yet, though!). I've also started working on character sprites. But, yeah, with all the stuff that I need to wrap up at the end of this month/early June, don't expect anything big until around the end of July. Thanks for putting up with me and my flakiness, guys! I try hard, I really do. It's sometimes just not enough, though.
23 February 2010 -- The script for Begin, the Turnabout is complete, I'll get around to transferring it from my other laptop soon so proofreading can commence; now attacking the script for Turnabout of Fates with vigor! Some new sections have been added, and I've made a few sprites that I'll post once I finish the sprite sheets. Trailer production is continuing to plod along as well, but seriously I NEED VOICE ACTORS. Please don't be afraid to try out, especially any guys that might be following this thread. Gregory, Shamus, Miles, Phoenix and Manfred all need their voices before I can finish the trailer.
Also, there's a little rumor that something may be afoot behind the scenes...don't tell anyone, though! It's a secret! <3
26 January 2010 -- New logo made by Auraion! Isn't it FANTASTIC and fgngfhm <33 Thank you so much! A new batch of concept art added, and the script for Begin, the Turnabout is about halfway complete.
20 January 2010 -- What I said about the script being done? LIES. I-in any case, trailer production started, voice casting started, script for the first case is about 25% complete. More concept art completed, collaboration photos currently being drawn. Cecelia Vendebit and Oliver Parker's character designs have been confirmed.
30 December 2009 -- All case plots have been confirmed, see the descriptions under Case Production! Scripts will be ready for proof-reading within two weeks.
29 December 2009 -- Logo completed, first batch of concept art released! Goodies section added.
28 December 2009 -- Game announced, basic information posted. Keep checking back for updates!

Case Production....
1. Begin, the Turnabout: 50% *ON HOLD* (script complete! Programming on hold.)- When a high school graduate is accused of murdering her employer, Gregory Edgeworth returns from his two year court absence to settle this rather unusual case. Unfortunately, it's somewhat hard to do your job when you're interrupted by your eight year old son who managed to hide himself under the defense bench prior to the trial. Woe! But as the trial drags on and things begin to look dark for the poor girl in the defendant's chair, Miles proves to be a vital asset in helping you discover that there's more than one way to skin a cat--err, prove your client's innocence.
2. A Turnabout of Fates -- 35% (plot confirmed, script under construction) - It's time for a trip back in time, where Gregory in still his early years of lawyerdom, as a young man working for the city's public attorney office. It's his first murder trial, where a rather chatty defendant has been accused of murdering her boyfriend, a small-scale actor. It's Gregory Edgeworth vs. Cecelia Vandebit, a stubborn, zealous prosecutor with a flair for the (over)dramatic. Throw in a twitchy detective and his not-so-twitchy rival, as well as a defendant who finds the constant need to hit on him, and poor Gregory is in for some long nights at the office. Not only that, but it seems almost as if there's someone -- something? -- else pulling the strings behind the prosecution's bench...
3. Turnabout in Pieces -- 20% (plot confirmed, script under construction)- It's a few months after Begin, the Turnabout, and a tragic case leaves both Gregory and his son in shock, as a dear loved one is ripped away from them in the blink of an eye. A rash choice at the scene of the crime forces Gregory to become involved with this thorny case, having to juggle both his duties as an attorney with providing support for his mourning son. However, the case is actually much more simple than it seems -- tragically, almost elegantly so. It's Gregory Edgeworth vs. Manfred von Karma, a dark case with a cunning defendent and witnesses who all have something to hide -- and the return of a familiar face that may reunite Gregory with his lost loved one sooner than he thinks.
4. No Rest for the Turnabout -- 20% (plot confirmed, script under construction)- After the resolution of Turnabout in Pieces, Gregory and Miles pack up and move down to Los Angeles, hoping for a fresh start and new memories -- little knowing that they're being tailed by their favorite detectives and a man obsessed with Gregory's defeat. Relying on the support of a law firm of an old friend of Gregory's, the two begin their new life in Southern California, with Miles recuperating at an alarming rate with the support of two new friends. But when one of said friends goes missing during a game of hide and seek, their momentary cloud of peace vanishes and is replaced with frantic detective work on Gregory's part, and a son's determination not to loose someone close to him again. Miles eventually happens upon the missing link while investigating an abandoned warehouse, but if the dead body in front of them is anything to go by, the night is far from over.
5. The End for the Turnabout --20% (plot confirmed, script under construction)- After years of investigating, interrogating, blood, sweat and tears, Gregory finds himself ready to go up against the legendary Manfred von Karma -- whom he believes is using false evidence to ensure constant guilty verdicts in order to maintain his "perfect" record. But Gregory might have bitten off more than he can chew when Manfred catches wind of his detective work, and decides that it would be in the better interest of all if Gregory would just...disappear. With accusations flying back and forth between the two attorneys (as well as a few insults/murder attempts), no one knows what to believe anymore as two cases are rolled into one with the discovery that both of them are directly tied to each other....and to some very dear friends, as well. Two defendants...or is it one? Two cases...or is it one? All the pieces finally come together on the 28th of December, 2001 -- with no one walking away from the courthouse unscathed.

for writers -- I need people who would be willing to look over witness testimonies and plot outlines and offer their advice and critique. Also, to check and make sure contradictions and the like make sense. OTL ;;
for artists -- I'd like some help in creating victims, witnesses, culprits, etc. ~ Also, I'm in need of someone to help me design backgrounds (because I suck spectacularly at it teehee)
for graphics designers/sprite makers -- I'll be making all of the character sprites myself, but if you'd like to help me by designing backgrounds and evidence, I won't say no! <3
for animators -- Flash makes my head spin, so if any of you would be willing to help me out with it, I'd appreciate all advice you can give me!
