Just put a black rectangle in a layer between the text and the other stuff, turn it into a symbol, then turn its Alpha down to like 30 or something. Otherwise I guarantee you the big critique will be readability, or the lack thereof.
I'm gone for so long, and the colors got all psychedelic! Woohoo!

Try using a solid message box for testing. It really looks too transparent. :gant:

Sigh...I'm really sorry to be so rude, but I did warn you.
I CAN'T READ ANYTHING.
It blends into the courtroom completely; a simple transparent black box behind the text would fix it. While otherwise, it's a pretty good demo, I'm afraid I will have to penalize you for that, after being warned.

For some reason, I kept looping at 2 places:

1. Where Trucy adds the court record button - I kept getting the bailiff saying "court will commence" and Trucy would add the button again. Eventually, I got out of it, though.
2. When it did "witness testimony," if I clicked, it'd start over from the "eyes-crossing-screen" part again. Sorry, this isn't that descriptive, and it's not a big deal since I figured out it'd move on if I left it alone.

Those are just 2 things I noticed. Congrats on getting a demo out!

Awesome job! Twitches here and there, but I have yet to see a C-R game devoid of them. Nice set of features and overall murder structure.

Good fun! Very enjoyable case, if a bit easy and lacking on story. Hope you keep making cases and improving on your technique!

Towards the end of the case some of the evidence I was presenting I really didn't know why I was presenting them. Part of this is that the game moved a little fast, and part of it was that the court record button was disabled. (Instead of looking at evidence to see which is best to present, I just trial-and-errored it.) Especially during the last cross examination.

Also, engine wise, it's a bit weird to have the screen wider than it's supposed to be. Some of the sizes for lots of things are off. And the text can be hard to read. But for the most part it's pretty good.
