Hello all! I'm new to the board, obviously!

Big fan of PW:AA though. I just found out about the trial creator a few days ago and made a little sample (demo) trial with it.

Be warned, it's quite small, and ends after the completion of the first contradiction. It was more of a learning experiment than anything else, but once I was done I wanted to share what I made with other fans of the series.

The basic premise is that occasionally Phoenix has to take on less "high profile" murder cases, and this is one such case.

So...opinions?

Well, it's technically really good! (Except for the JFA cross-examining music :nick: ) All the flashes and sound effects and HOLD IT!s and OBJECTION!s and stuff were all good :P

Your first contradiction is one of those obvious-autopsy-report contradictions. Of course, as long as there's a good reason, it'll all be fine; plus it's just the first one. So as long as you explain why she made the whole thing up...

Anyway, can't wait to see more!

Odd. I always felt that the cross-examination music was one of the only music themes from JFA that was really any good. That's why the rest of the music so far was from AA.

It has really good writing, I'm impressed. But I don't know if I like the text exceeding more than 3 lines. It just doesn't seem right. If it's possible to fix this in AAO, you might want to do that.
Oh, and when you press Ms. Thorne's statements, her talking sound suddenly turns into male bleeps, if you know what I mean.

Yeah. I left it set for "Automatic" and it turned it into a typewriter, so when I set it for "Female" I got that for some reason...

AAO seems a tad buggy at times! :pizza: I'm still working on it.

AAO expands the textbox when it goes beyond 3 lines, and there's no way to tell how many lines it will be in the editer.

I personally think it's fine going over the 3 lines, as long as it only goes to 4-5 lines. Walls of text aren't fun....

Hmm, maybe it's just me who doesn't like it then.

The biggest issue was that in order for Phoenix to prove his last statement there, I needed a piece of photographic evidence. Unfortunately, since I can't draw, that's out the window.

Spoiler:
There's supposed to be a photo of the crime scene that shows, on the very edge of the photo and barely in sight, the empty hinges of the door to Shadow's office. The door had been removed earlier in the day, and when the murder happened he didn't even have a door on his office. The picture was to be set up in such a way that, at first, you would assume that the door was just open, not off its hinges completely.

The police would have noticed it during their own investigation. The only reason anyone would be on trial is because they had evidence that they found at the scene, therefore they must have noticed it. One of the first things they would notice is that there is no door.

I believe you'd have to disguise it in a way that no matter which way you look at it, the door is on perfectly. Like an illusion.

Then how would the crime scene photo be taken before the police arrived?

:objection:
:edgeworth: The defense is simply stalling! I cannot even count the flaws in that statement!
:yuusaku: While actually I can... It's just so hard to speak dramatically without saying something not quite right...

I read that! You're afraid of saying something not quite right!
