I played it too. I just LOVED it. I laughed really hard about the Egdy-Gummy conversations (:

Spoiler: A conversation, sort of.

Gummy; Blahblah I spend all day cleaning your desk, and now IT SHINES LIKE A MIRROR : D

I'm not trying to be an ass, I swear, but doesn't it show him right in the beginning of the scene with a gun?

I realize that doesn't necessarily make him the murderer, after all...

Spoiler: Phoenix Wright: Case 1-4
Edgeworth held a gun during that case in the boat, and still was not the murderer in that incident.

However, the fact that he was there, we heard a gunshot beforehand, and then it pans to him with a fairly confident (Not horrified) face. I'd say it's fairly obvious.

ii desu. demo nihongo ha wakarimasen.

Also the translation is great but it did me no good honestly so I didn't get through the entire demo. Great music, too bad I couldn't get what was going on except for a few words.

Yeah, I loved that.

Spoiler: Full context...
Edgeworth:
I haven't used this desk in a while. It is best to use one you're familiar with. ...Hm? It feels newer than I remember.

Gumshoe:
When I heard you were coming back, I put all my heart into polishing it! It's even shinier than a mirror now!

Edgeworth:
Didn't you have to work while I was gone?

Gumshoe:
Protecting your office *was* my job!

Edgeworth:
..You mean, the office a murder was committed in?

Gumshoe:
......It's pretty harsh when you say it like that.

Edgeworth:
(Well... the desk is very shiny, so I won't dock his pay this time)

I wonder if this is a sign that Edgeworth is going to be nicer to Gumshoe in this game?

EDIT: I also was wondering about something else...

Spoiler:
Edgeworth:
These flowers... They seem fresh...?

Gumshoe:
Every month we get flowers and photos addressed to you, pal.

Edgeworth:
Could they be from...the security guard's wife?

Gumshoe:
...Yeah. The one with the deep voice that always follows you around.

So is Oldbag married to a security guard? And she has a deep voice? Or could it be... A rival for Oldbag! Come on, you knnow you want to see two old ladies fighting over Edgey.

In the other games Edgy was picking on Gumshoe because he was angry when he got taken apart in court, more like to vent his frustation. In a game where things will go more to his liking he's likely to be nicer to Gumshoe.

I liked their interaction so far, Gumshoe is making a neat Watson.

Also, I think Makoyo only killed him because he "will do anything for a guilty verdict." Maybe the victim was a witness that the defense found?

Spoiler:
When I was playing it, I thought that maybe he just wanted a guilty verdict, so he killed the victim because it would be easy to pin the murder on, er, gumshoe. But I only played some of the demo.

Demo was awesome, I can't WAIT for GK. But actually I can, I need time to find and finish AJ.

Whenever you see "ha" used as a particle in Japanese, it's pronounced "wa." So, it would be, demo nihongo wa wakarimasen.

Either way to romanize it is fine. The Japanese often leave it as "ha" as that's the way you'd type it on a keyboard, same reason why they type "wo" instead of "o" even though it's pronounced like "o".

Isn't "wo" Chinese? Because thats how you say "I" in Chinese.

Technically speaking it's not in written Japanese, but since 'o' is already another word (お), 'wo' is used instead for を since it falls in the same line as wa (わ)

Yeah well like it's been said before either way works I just like to romanize it based on what the character normally is. Seriously though, you give me trouble for the small thing but you ignore the larger one (I basically said "It was good but I don't understand Japanese." in Japanese, it actually can fairly easily be explained away too but really).

BGNUIMUNBNYJMKUV BNJK "GREAT REVIVAL" REMIX FTW! 8D

I swore that I would cry if there wasn't some sort of variation of that song in the game. I'm so happy. ;-;

Anyways, the game's incredible so far. 8D Much thanks to whoever was kind enough to post the translated script in another thread.

Edited, because I always seem to have something extra to say after I post:
I can see why they decided to do it 3rd person instead of 1st...
Can you imagine an entire game about Edgey, in which you hardly get to see him? DX The fangirls would start a riot! <3

I managed to fumble my way through it and it's surprisingly intuitive. I have a very, very limited knowledge of Japanese, and I still managed to get the logic system and such to work fine. Given that I was being very cynical and pessimistic about the whole GK game to begin with, I found the demo good enough to at least let me be cautiously optimistic about the game as a whole now.

Spoiler: demo
Yuuki is dense as hell though. I'm really hoping the first case is his one and only appearance...

To the end of the first investigation sequence. I don't know what else to say without spoiling it. x3 That one scene includes an Investigation sequence, a Logic sequence, and a... um... Confrontation? Is that what it's called?
Anyways, it's got all three sequences, so you'll get the basic idea of the game from the demo.

I see, I'll try it if it's ever translated in English. Too much work otherwise.

Though I will say I love the camera views from just the screenshots. And the art style.

Also, in response to a few theories...

Spoiler:
Makoto killed the victim because he wanted a guilty verdict? Don't forget, the victim worked for Makoto. Or at least that's what his profile on CR says.
