Ya know, I really do think she could be a defense attorney. Remember how the prosecutors were sometimes in the dark, too? Now, since we're on the prosecutor's side, maybe it would be the opposite?

If not, my second choice would be Franzy's long lost sister, who somehow got taken in by the Fey clan, which would explain the spiceh hair XD

Either way, she's really cool. X3

She looks too much like a Fey to me to be a 'completely new character'.

Something tells me that when we first meet her she'll be like a 'completely new character', but, in typical Ace Attorney fashion, by the end of the game it will be dramatically and wonderfully revealed that she's related to everything that's ever happened. :yogi:

I honestly don't know what to make of the new character. She could be a Fey, but then, she could be part of another magical family of epic power and stuff.

I think she's part of a different family, yes. Maybe Fey rivals or something?

Yes, I didn't think about this too much.

Oh, and does anyone else think the key will end up being a murder weapon or something very closely tied to a case? Then again, it's hard to tell what these 'cases' will be like, since there will be no 'courtroom action'... :payne:

There are similarities between Mystery Girl and Phoenix himself.

Same shade of hair colour, large (blue?) eyes, small nose and linear mouth

This picture, coupled with the statement, gives me solid proof that Key Girl is either:

A) Phoenix's daughter

OR

B) Somehow related to Phoenix.

In order for A to be true, in Prefect Prosecutor, there must be some mention of either Phoenix getting married or Phoenix fathering a child (other than Trucy). Also, the age of the girl appears to be at least 14-15, perhaps even 16, which is around Trucy's age, so (in theory) Key Girl would be Trucy's stepsister to some degree.

For A to be true, there also has to be mention of Phoenix's wife/girlfriend in PP in order to support this theory. My guess is that we have some suspects (LOL PUN!) that fit this category. They are:

Iris (hair color match, as well as nose) (WEAKEST LEAD)

AND

Maya (hair color match, as well as nose and body size) (STRONGEST LEAD)

Now, not to start a shipping war, I have also noted how strong the leads are, and (much to the dismay of many Feenris shippers) Maya seems more viable than Iris due to the body size, hair color, and nose. The nose, as you might've guessed, is a key element here. It can link Maya and Key Girl as sisters or (possibly) mother and daughter (Maya the mother, Key Girl the daughter). However, Iris also has the same nose and hair color, so she's not entirely out of the running just yet. It's just that her body size doesn't really match up as well as Maya's.

Thoughts, questions, and concerns (specifically addressing this post) will be responded to in following posts.

It's feasible, but I'm not too sure. I don't think Capcom intends for Phoenix to have a family...

Post subject:  Re: New character (Nintendo Dream, Apr. 21)

WARNING! The following post contains SPOILERS for all three PW games and AJ, as well as a craaaazy theory. (Or maybe not so crazy? Which is worse?)

Hmm, I've been thinking and pondering over Keygirl's role in the game, and suddenly I was just struck with inspiration!

Granted it's fairly far-fetched, but that's exactly what makes it plausible (AA being a far-fetched game.)

I know early on a lot of people were quick to jump on the KEYGIRL IS MAYA bandwagon, until her revealed age dashed that theory.

Or did it?

Throughout the first three games, it's stated that Maya is short and looks "young for her age". Maya was also the inspiration for "The Pink Princess" and seems to be in love with the idea of a secret hero identity. (She even shows disappointment in AA: TT when it is revealed that the fake Phoenix in court did not have a fake Maya with him, as if she is sad about not having an arch-nemesis of her own.)

Now is it possible, that sometime during the 7 year gap between TT and AJ, Maya left America and followed Edgeworth to Europe, donning the guise of Keygirl so that he wouldn't recognize her, and use the fact that she looks young for her age to hide her identity further? The "ninja-esque" look that Keygirl has seems to fit with Maya's love for Samurai and Ninja shows (all that pink on Keygirl is reminiscent of the Pink Princess too).

That only begs the question: why? Why would Maya follow Edgeworth to Europe and why would she feel the need to disguise herself? Maybe...

Spoiler:
Perhaps she left in an attempt to convince Edgeworth to return to America, maybe to help Phoenix who had been disbarred? Or maybe because the guilt over the events at Hazakurain, including the murder of her mother, which Maya felt partially responsible for, made her long for a change of scenery. Maybe she felt Edgeworth would be the only one to understand, having lived with the guilt of possibly killing his father for most of his life.

Perhaps she had to conceal her identity because Edgeworth would not return her calls as Maya? Is there another reason entirely?

It wouldn't be the first time an AA character disappeared, only to return under a different identity;

Spoiler:
Yanni Yogi, Mimi Miney, Diego Armando, Dahlia Hawthorne (Twice, once as Melissa Foster and again as Iris), Iris (impersonating Dahlia), Elise Deuxnim, Thalassa, among others I might be missing.

... to name a few.

Any thoughts?

The ninja theory is the only one closest to what is canon compared to the other retconned ideas:

She's a thief named Mikumo Ichijou.

I know Mikumo is this small town in Japan (my translator also says it mean "cloud" or "district").

She's an self-admitted thief, apparently. Interesting. She and Edgeworth won't get along at all, will they? In his mind, criminals are bad enough. But those who flaunt their status as criminals? Instant hatred.

Yeah it's confirmed, the exact Chinese translation of her name (Mikumo Ichijou) is "a string/streak of clouds". I'm also getting similar meaning from the Japanese translation.

This is really evident from her clothes: they all involve aerial things. (her cloud print shirt, and bird-related attire)

It's not self-admitted, it's self-declared. As far as SHE says, she is a thief. Whether or not she's actually stolen anything is a different matter.

Personally, I doubt it. :gregory:
