I really love her and would love to see a game around her... probably mostly because I'd LOVE to see more into her backstory and how she viewed her childhood, etc.

Payne: Honestly he's pretty lackluster, prosecution-wise IMO.
Godot: No.... just no.
Klavier: He's probably the most likely one to get a game.... much to my dismay.

Godot- Wasn't Godot's main focus as a prosecutor to defeat Phoenix? If I remember correctly, the only cases he prosecuted were the ones Phoenix 'just so happened' to be working on at the time. He would surly be fun to play as, but for that reason it'd be pretty hard to pull off
Franziska- Certainly a fun choice, but I'd much rather play as her father. I agree that whipping people would be fun, but outside of that Franziska's personality would irk me. There's really a character bias of me not liking Franziska here, so I'll move on.
Manfred- Now this game I could get into. Like many of you had said, I think playing as the cold, caluculating, won't-stop-at-anything Manfred von Karma would also be quite fun. The idea of forging evidence certainly gets me interested. When I think about it, Manfred von Karma, despite being a character I don't really like- is my definite second choice.
Payne- Only if Capcom was looking for a game of pure comedy. I don't really see Payne as a character serious enough to have his own game... -hides from fans-
Lana- This would be interesting, too. Similar to Neil, we don't know much of anything about her skills as a prosecutor, and I'm interested to see just how good she really was. The only thing is, I wouldn't like seeing Gant so much. Again, deep hatred for his character biases me a bit.
Klavier- I'd like to see him a little more in other AJ games before I decided. Although I do like Klavier, I want to see more of a backstory behind him. Also, if Klavier had his own game, the idea of getting more Daryan along with that makes me a happy camper.
Makoto- Haha, agreed with Aetheryn. As much as I LOVE Makoto, we definitely need more about him, if we don't have enough Klavier.

Gant is chief of police, so he wouldn't be directly involved...unless the game takes place when they're both young/in their twenties. Which would be PURE AWESOME.
It's an inside joke of mine that there's a perky secretary at the Prosecutor's Office who has a crush on Manfred. If only I could come up with a punny name for her.

Still, my analysis/opinions:
I seriously hope not. The guy's a moron, and only serves the purpose of being a "tutorial" character.
Would be interesting to know more about her, but it's pretty unlikely. She was only in the add-on case for the remake of the original game.
Same reason as Lana, although he plays even less of a role. Possibly, as a spinoff to AJ the way GK is a spinoff of the first three. I see it as more likely that he'd appear in a game starring Edgeworth as a rival, though. Despite his popularity and badass-ness, for reasons stated already, this wouldn't make sense.Makoto: Don't know enough about him, but he doesn't look like he's going to be that important. Also, he looks kind of obnoxious.
This has some potential. I'd really like to see Franny take a starring role, but a lot of that is because she's my favorite character in the series. The actual likelihood of this happening doesn't seem very high. This sounds like fun. Who hasn't wanted to try playing as a villain? The only problem is playing as a dishonest lawyer would make for the most controversial game since Grand Theft Auto. I doubt Capcom would want to do that.
