The onlt con that's near me is Animaritime (I believe it's fairly small >.>') in March, but I might not even be able to go. I wish I lived around bigger Canadian cities... or that I lived in America.
If I ever did go to a con, though... I don't know who I'd cosplay. O_O I don't think I'd make a good Phoenix or Edgeworth, but I dunno... Remember someone suggesting Olga Orly from Apollo Justice, I think...

And I'd want Edgeworth as my roommate... except after like a few days I'd be totally annoyed with him. XD Let's just say I'm not a very neat person and he would have a field day ridiculing me whenever he could.

They have these adorable cat ears that you can buy in the dealer's room, and they had ones that are magenta and black. XD So... I couldn't resist!!

It's not surprising. That is a common trope in literature,film, and television. Characters that hate one another and all the sexual tension it creates. Of course, once the characters get together the work loses some of its spark.
Examples that come to mind. Usagi/Mamaru from Sailormoon. I liked it better when they were fighting and being rude to one another.
Moonlighting: When Bruce Willis/Cybill Shepard's characters got together the show was never the same.
I'm sure there are dozens of other examples.
Even if they made Phoenix Wright and anime, they would never officially give any character a permanent significant other. They might have one for an episode or two, but it wouldn't be anything long term. I can just imagine the types of girls Edgeworth would get paired with.
