Anybody here a fan of Jesper Kyd? He's the one behind the music of the Assassin's Creed series.

I like Kyd's music because he combines "common" instruments (such as electric guitars) with "not-so-common" instruments and operatic vocal tracks. And chanting / prayers, too! Those were what made the original Assassin's Creed music so good; the immersion. Though personally, I'd say his best work is with the music of Assassin's Creed 2, since you can really "feel" Renaissance Italy when you hear them, even more so than you can feel the Holy Land in the first game. Brotherhood's tracks were too short and didn't really stand out (with the exception of "City of Rome", I suppose). Revelations' music was good, too, but most of the tracks downright overused the main theme.

Anyways, some of my favorite tracks include:

City of Jerusalem (AC1)
Acre Underworld (AC1)
Ezio's Family (AC2)
Venice Rooftops (AC2)
Back in Venice (AC2)
Dream of Venice (AC2)
Venice Combat Low (AC2)
City of Rome (ACB)
Istanbul (ACR)
Investigation (ACR)
On The Attack (ACR)

Discuss.

I only have the AC2 and Brotherhood soundtracks. I think the Florence Tarantella, Home in Florence (really like the first minute i my favorite) and the City of Rome are my favorite tracks

Florence Tarantella is cool, but personally I think it sounds a bit too Celtic to fit in with the Renaissance Italy theme. And since it's usually associated with Cristina Vespucci, whom I hate with a burning passion, I don't really listen to it that much, haha. :P

I'm a sucker for Sanctuary from Assassin's Creed II.

The slow swell of the strings, the ethereal piano and the haunting vocals are just sublime.

I can listen to the track, and it's like I'm standing in the belfry of the Campanile di San Marco, looking down on Venice below, with the salty smell of the Venetian Lagoon just blowing by.
