FNM Lovers, here me. Here we celebrate one of the greatest bands of the 80's/90's, who changed music foreva. To this day, Angel Dust remains one of my favourite albums, as Mike Patton does one of my favourite singers.

In fact, I very much like their work pre-Patton, back when they were with Chuck Mosley.

Of course, by the logic that Patton is the only reason anyone remembers them, that would mean Patton's other projects would have enjoyed commercial success, which they didn't.

They didn't because they weren't nearly as accessible as Faith No More and not everyone knows his name.

It wasn't Mike Patton the average listener was giving a shit about on the FNM albums. It was the music he fronted.

If by "changed" you mean "opened the gates to the music industry for so many horrible alternative bands", yeah they did. But FNM is way better.

Sorry, L, but I have to disagree, while some of their pre-Patton works were acknowledgable, their best stuff came after the switch.

As far as songs go, obviously "Epic" is good. Also "Midlife Crisis", as Mr. Bear mentioned. FNM's cover of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs" is still one of the all-time greatest cover songs, IMO. But my favorite song is probably "Surprise! You're Dead!" It is very unfortunate that so few people have heard this song. FNM did a great tribute to vampires, before vampires became polluted by the sparkly filth spread by the Book That Shan't Be Named.
