When I was in the nail salon yesterday, they were playing a dvd of some of his greatest hits.
I think it was HIStory vol II.
I recognized Billie Jean, Beat It, Smooth Criminal, Thriller, Scream, but then they showed music videos of songs I didn't really know.
Like 'Childhood" "Earth Song" 'You Are Not Alone" (ok I know that song, but never saw the music video), "They Don't Care About Us" and "Stranger in Moscow."

Maybe it's because where I am, my radio stations have never played those songs.
They usually play Michael Jackson on our dance station KTU, but I guess they wouldn't play too many of his ballads.

The radio won't stop playing Jacko now, and I'm loving it :edgy:

13 of his songs in the top 40 and Man in the Mirror at number 1.... it's a shame you have to die for people to be reminded how awesome your music was.

I actually got pissed at VH-1 classic last weekend because all they did for 3 days was play the same jackson vid's over and over and over.

And now comes the news he had a drug he probably shouldn't have had:

Heh...so the possibility of him being a paedo is back on?

Really I guess people believe what they wanna believe....that plus its all just allegations anyway nothing really concrete proof to my knowledge. Plus he died, people wanna see him in a good light.

The memorial was in just the right tone. Jermaine singing Smile and Shaheen Jafargholi from BGT made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Paris speaking about Michael for the first time was very moving.

An astonishing day in entertainment history.

In all honesty I half-expected Micheal turning up In "full thriller costume" claiming it was all a hoax.

I cried so hard when Paris spoke. How could he leave those sweet kids? ;~;

OMG I love "Eat It". xD
I think it should be a flattering thing that your song is so good, people like Weird Al (King o' Parodies, IMO) want to make a spoof of it.

And yes, Jango is based off of MJ. *wonders how Oda-san must be feeling about this*

I was suprised by how shocked (and oddly sad) I was that he'd died!

I was also so pissed that someone decided to text me about it at 2.30am :nick:

Not knowing huge ammounts about the paedophilia claims I always thought they were true until my dad told me they weren't ever even prooved.

I think they've played Man in the mirror about 6 times on the radio while i was at my work experience placement, I'm now a huge fan of the song and I also liked many other songs by him, R.I.P Jackson.

Every night on the radio, I've heard at least one MJ song each night. To be honest, it's quite enjoyable. Thriller's my all-time favourite MJ song. It's really a shame that he's gone... :sadshoe:
