Americanized Russian immigrant artist who recently went global, with an A-List producer. She was the first alternative artist I heard a few years ago, love all her music, especially her newest album. So... discuss.

Ahh! I was wondering when this topic would be made.
At first I thought she was weird, but now she is great. I like Samson and On The Radio.
I haven't really listened to Far or Laughing With, might actually now. :D

Hm... she's all right. Only heard one of her songs, but liked it. She was a bit of an acquired taste, though.

Samson is one of the prettiest songs ever and is on my "songs that make me cry" playlist (or at least it will be when I get around to making it) and I love Fidelity. That's where my knowledge of her ends, really, I wasn't hugely impressed by On The Radio, although I like Far (but I haven't listened to it again and again like I did with Samson and Fidelity)

Hah, I guess you can say she's an acquired taste, when I first heard her, I thought she was weird and freaky (incidentally, the first song I heard was Reading Time With Pickle, and I still am not a fan of that song), but a lot of her stuff is real poetry. On the Radio has always been one of my favorites, and Pavlov's Daughter (especially when you listen really closely to the lyrics, and the words that sound like head, and mind, actually aren't >:3). On Far, there are so many good songs. Laughing With really struck a chord with me, especially the last line, I love it. Two Birds, The Calculation, Blue Lips, Human of the Year, and Machine were all great new songs as well.

I rambled on a lot, heh, but my dad is like one of her biggest fans as well, so we have all her music, even unreleased songs.
