Soul Makossa is a relaxing funk tune. Not all that far removed from Bebop I think, but I am not a huge music critic so I might be naive here. Bola Abimbola is fun too.

I think it has alot of energy and emotion to it which sometimes is missing from music, just sounds generally like unadulterated fun.

That is the only song/artist I've heard which I might even be able to call Nigerian Music, most other seems simply hip-hop, rap etc performed by Nigerian people or Africans

I mean, I like what I've heard of Ola Onabule but he is a London born soul singer who just spent his formative years in Nigeria.

I'll keep my ears open though, always up for sampling new music.

One more post like this and Imma ban you for srs. Only warning.

As for Nigerian music I am sadly uninformed and inexperienced.

I knew that people on this forum had trouble accepting opinions, but I wasn't expecting to be reported for it. I was posting an honest to good opinion about Nigerian music, comparing it to my opinion of Korean music. I'm sorry that I don't want to be pretentious and pretend I like this or korean music. But if I can't post my honest opinion about a particular thing in a way I like to express it then this site might as well be run by Dictator and fashion expert Kim jong Il.

It's OK, I'm not as emotional or sensitive as many other CR users. I will stay here forever.

You're a fuckin' idiot who said Koreans and Nigerians sing like they're eating dogs.

Why not accept the fact that not every message board out there is gonna be like 4chan, which is a good thing..hell, this isn't even 4chan-stupid. This is just "random 14 year old kid on XBox Live saying racist things just to try and sound like a badass" stupid.

Freedom of speech is more geared towards people who have some ounce of thought and deep held belief in what they say, a sense of urgency that their voice and opinion is important and needs to be heard and are happy to accept the consequences of it.

Spouting crap, no matter how wrapped up in false sentiments of freedom of speech, is still crap and kills the notion of freedom of speech far more than PC does due to idiots calling it freedom.

People need to stop and think, do I really believe what I am about to say with my heart of heart, would I be willing to have the opinion forever stained against my name and die for it? If that is true then it is freedom of speech and is worth hearing, if it is dribble there just to cause strife and arguments then the person is a jackass unworthy of the liberties they are attempting to bend over and bugger up the arse with their minimal intellectual abilities.

That said, I prefer a lot of the African hip-hop/rap than I do the (over generalization ahead) American type. It seems more geared towards freedom and peace.
