No, it's just utterly diffrent from the norm that you call it stupid.

Well I think what you say is stupid and frankly I'd like you to fight with me for the sake of fighting with me. I like a good argument, it gets the blood flowing. I know I say stupid shit sometimes but for the most part an opinion is an opinion. Also stop hitting enter when you have a new thought, that's retarded.

Tool was always good.

Honestly, I disagree.

I just couldn't get into them, y'know? I tried my hardest, I really did. But I just don't see the appeal.

Also, 'nother album I've really gotten into lately:

Found it to be a lot more solid than their debut album--there's not a single song on there that I don't love (well, okay, MAYBE First Orgasm, but the rest are all gold). Necessary Evil is probably my favorite on there.

Are there actually albums with more than one hit in them? Honestly, all the albums I've seen only have one "popular" song accompanied by a collection of "sycophant" songs. (lol, haven't browsed a lot of albums.)

This is a serious question.

Just because you don't like them, doesn't mean they're not good. I don't like Call of Duty, but I'll concede its a good game. And anyways, Prog Rock/Prog Metal isn't for everyone. Particularly not with the kind of themes Tool has. But for fans of them think they've always been good.

Aenima is their best CD sure, but that doesn't make Undertow bad by any stretch of the imagination

Point taken. Still, I think they're kind of mediocre.

And I'm sure there are plenty of bands you like that I would find incredibly mediocre. To each their own.

This is very true. A lot of people dismiss TMBG as a "novelty band" (which, as I have said so many times, is completely inaccurate--just listen to their lyrics and you'll see what I mean), but they're my absolute favorites.

I'unno, I guess I just can't see the appeal behind Tool. Can you explain it to me?

The reason I like Tool is because of their way how the instrumentation is very hardcore and how the vocals are melodic. Their songs are also very well put together, there is much diversity in one song. Their songs might be long but they don't drag out. The songs change up enough to keep you listening. I also like how every instrument track stands out in the song but it does not sound noisy. That is why I like Tool.

Gotcha.

See, I personally find their music to be rather dull (for the most part--I like Vicarious and Eulogy, but that's about it). Then again, my idea of what constitutes interesting music is somewhat odd.

Along with this, I love a lot of the themes as well. The whole Eastern Philosophy bit with Lateralus for example. I like some of the subtle parts to the music. For example the beginning of the Song Lateralus is about birth/early life, and the lyrical scheme follows the Fibbonaci Sequence. A nice touch given the subject matter. Small stuff like that makes it even more interesting than just sounding nice.

Stadium Arcadium is an amzing album. I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but that album just really stands out for me.

Panic! At The Disco's first album(A Fever You Can't Sweat Out) is my favourite album ever. Seriously amazing, a pity they changed their music style for Pretty. Odd.. :sadshoe:

A friend of mine told me they changed it because the stuff from their first album wasn't really them, so they wanted to make their new album that was more their style. But yeah, I like their first album better.

Yeah, that's what I heard as well.

Only, I've also heard that it was Ryan Ross who decided the music wasn't him, and he decided to change their style. I've heard that more since Ryan and Jon left and Ryan decided to put pictures of himself with cocaine on the internet, and then lie about it, the retard, and Brendon and Spencer decided to go back to the "old music". (New Perspective sounds nothing like AFYCSO by the way.)

I don't know how true any of it is though, the band's a bit all over the place at the moment, especially since the split. And it's cool to see someone else who like AFYCSO more than Pretty. Odd.. :edgy:

I'm such a nerd when it comes to P!ATD. :beef: That probably isn't a good thing...

I likes both A Fever You Can't Sweat Out nd Pretty Odd. They both has their great points. P!ATD 4 the win. Fave songs from both. :):):)

I had pretty odd b4 i got the album a fever you cant sweat out - just had some single songs b4. So i may be biased.

Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off
Northern downpour

different moods tempo etc, but i love both songs. :)

Nothin' wrong with being hopelessly obsessed with a band. I'm like that with TMBG.

I can't wait for their new album, incidentally (TMBG's, I mean). All we know so far is that it's an adult album and it's coming out next spring. I wonder if it'll be able to top The Else...
