The 90's is probably my favourite era of music, s it was perhaps the only one were the alternative truly had chance to reighn free. The mainstream was, in some cases, not as bad... Oasis and Blur are somewhat guilty pleasures of mine.

I don't care what ANYONE says. I loved Britney Spears in the 90s, and I still love her now. >3

The music in the 90s was great. Such an innocent time when everyone loved pop. :3

So much great alternative rock comes from the nineties. I really love The Toadies' Possum Kingdom. Usually when I listen to the Nineties alt. rock station there is always a song I like.

Great song, although I prefer The Wildhearts' cover version. Which brings me to another great band of the 90's.

I hope I'm not the only one who loved Scatman back then. I'm not fond of Europop, but Scatman did the trick for me. The way he turned his stutter problem into vocals ... Pretty cool and welldone, I have to say.

There was a lot of good stuff in the 90's (rock and country). I first started watching MTV in 1993. And watched it reguarly until 1997. About the time the pop shit like crapstreet boys and ricky fartin started ruining the channel, and the decade. :nick:

The 90s weren't all that hot in terms of music, especially in the early decade. Hated new jack swing so much..

Just because a band starts in a certain decade, doesn't mean they were popular during that time.

Depeche Mode formed in the very late seventies, but are associated with the eighties because that's when they started make records and become very popular.

Hmm... true, but they are still a band of the 90's if they were prominent in the 90's. It's just that they're also a band of the 80's.

I mean, Faith No More are considered a band of the 90's, even though they started in the 80's.
