I figured this would go here. It's a musical :/

Musicals have always had a place in my heart, but this is probably my favorite of all times. I love the big operatic style, and the dark theme. And the character of Sweeney Todd is such a deep one it's amazing.

Now I prefer the Movie version of this musical. I know they changed a lot of the songs. But I like the way the characters were portrayed and the 78-piece orchestra makes the musical feel epic, in the literal sense of the word.

Has to be my favorite musical. And I love musicals to death.

BUT THIS. Probably my all time favorite.

I love Tim Burton's movies, even though Sweeney Todd wasn't his original creation, but his version of the story simply blew me away. The music and lyrics are greatly enjoyable, as well as the dark, gloomy setting. And of course the magnificent stars acting everything out. Aayup, 'tis a musical to be enjoyed. :yogi:

I've starred in a musical once, but if I could work with a musical like Sweeney Todd, that would leave me in awe.

While Tim Burton is a bit of a one-trick pony and the actual music in the movie was far worse than stage productions, I thought the movie was pretty good. The style fit, Bonham Carter and Rickman are always great and it just.. worked.
