Personally, my favourites are Far's version of Ginuwine's "Pony", and Cradle Of Filth doing Heaven 17's "Temptation".

Helloween covering Abba's Lay All Your Love on Me.

I'll grant you that Andi Deris is slowly but surely driving this band to shittier and shittier heights, but then again they've been a 2, maybe 3 good song per album band even in the days of Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske.

What an Insult to all the great versions out there. They took a great song and turned it into some shitty pop tune.

John Rzeznik's cover of For Your Love.

Though "unlikely" is debatable. This man is pretty damn flexible, musically. hoping in other areas as well, but that's not my concern

Really? I loved their YGLABN cover. Having said that, i'm not really a fan of Bon Jovi, so...

Then again, I am a big fan of FNM, so i'm very cynical about the Epic cover. Let's just see.

This one's a much better cover. And I'm very critical of covers that add screaming to songs that previously had none. Some bands can pull it off (A Day To Remember, ect.). But those are few and far between.

Not sure I know of any unlikely covers as I do not pay that attention of things but one of my favorite covers is Nirvana's live cover of Man Who Sold the World...

But if I started listing all the great covers, like Hendrix and a certain Dylan song, then I would be going off topic.

Disturbed cover of "Land of Confusion", originally by Genesis

I love the original version and music video with the puppets, but the Disturbed music video animated by Todd McFarlane was cool as well.

Polyphonic Spree cover of "Lithium" by Nirvana

:eh?:

And finally, anything by Richard Cheese. Especially his covers of "Closer" by NIN and "Chop Suey" by System of a Down
