Likewise. But I finished with 5500 Picarats...hmm. Anyways, great game, I'm in love with the series. And that final puzzle "The Diabolical Box"? My god. Spent literally an hour trying to solve it. At least it doesn't dock me Picarats for taking so many moves. It'd suck to solve 152/153 puzzles and lose Picarats on the final puzzle.

Anxiously awaiting "The Last Time Travel" now!

I did too.

Spoiler: Just in case anyone hasn't finished it yet
I did think my game froze up or something for a moment when the two figures wouldn't move anymore. I wasn't sure what to do. But then I read the prompt about the "wind" and...yeah it was kind of obvious from there XD;

I would have posted this in the Layton topic but that seems to be more about the games that are already out (at least in the US and UK anyway).

I just have one question about it's plot just on the off chance someone knows thats played the Japanese version:

Spoiler: prof layton 3 major spoiler
Why does Luke leave at the end? I've read the general plot on Wikipedia (which doesn't mention it at all, then I saw a video on youtube that shows him leaving but me not knowing any Japanese, just leaves me totally confused as to whats happening!

I'd be grateful if anyone can answer my question, I know I should be good and wait and see when it's localised.. but that could be years! Lol

Is that Dream Fluff #4? It's outside the hotel, hit any of the doors on the other buildings for the puzzle to get it. I thought that one would have been pretty hard to miss imo...

No, it's the one after Dream Fluff and before Peppercherry. As in Ingerdient 5, I think. *goes to get her DS to check*

#6 is Joy Root Clover, you should have that because you get it from solving a plot necessary puzzle (speaking to the garlic seller in his shop, whereupon you also get the meatbone needed to get past the dog). How far in the game are you?

No, that ingredient is #5. I already checked my game twice. I'm sure that I'm not messing up the facts. And I already finished the game, so I'm sure that it's not the ingredient I'm looking for.

Tonic Flower, puzzle 86, go into the Alley past the dog and in the house somewhere down there there is artwork on the left wall that holds a puzzle.

Also when you say "The one after Dreamfluff but before Peppercherry" it can get confusing to follow considering that there are two in between them.

I finished Pandora's Box a week ago. It's a great series of games, Pandora's Box was a little short for me though. I was reading somewhere there's talk of a movie releasing in Japan about Professor Layton called "Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva." Looks great to me. The third game also looks fantastic, hope it comes to Australia sooner than Ace Attorney Investigatings is taking to release here.

Yup, there's going to be a movie of PL, set for release in Japan on Dec. 19. Apperently, there's been talks of it being dubbed in English, although I can't say anything for sure.

Spoiler: Er, in case anyone considers this "spoilery"?
Layton and Luke have their "goodbye" scene at the train station or whatever.

Actually, in the one I saw, there were from scenes from Diabolical Box in there too, so I'm not sure if it's a fanmade trailer or not. But either way, it's awesome. I wish there was a release date for Last Time Travel :((((

Yeah, I guess every PL fan is anxiously waiting for the Last Time Travel. Although I can't imagine...
Spoiler: PL3
...the Professor actually having a lovelife.
I mean everyone's entitled on one, but I still can't imagine him, well....Anyway, the Diabolical Box puzzle was actually pretty easy. Soved it in less than a minute, the instructions on how to open it given already by Anton. And my favorite character in PL 2 is Katia.

I agree with starting with the Curious Village, some things in Pandora's Box might make a bit more sense.
If possible, get both. :D

The Last Time Travel? It hasn't been given an official release date (or even a an announcent of it being translated) but it's been highly hinted at. I assume if it's getting a translation (it probably would considering its sales), it would be some time next year, taking into account the release pattern for the previous two games (TCV came out in 2008, TDB/PB came out in 2009)

Hope that cleared up some things. :)

BTW, I finally unlocked the Music in the Bonus section! May not seem like much, but I've been waiting forever to listen to it. :keiko:
