Hopefully the other two planned will come out here as well (the second is already out in Japan)... really did enjoy the game. There is also a proper anime planned so I hear but a new story to those being used in the games...

Spoiler: Kookevk's answer
I had a lot of trouble on that one too. It has to be a very big F, much bigger than the other three letters. Move the right side match of the first square to the bottom left to make an F.

Okay, do you unlock the Puzzle Master's House by completing all the other puzzles? I've done them all except Princess in a Box 2 with max picarats and the PM House is still locked...

And how do you download puzzles?

Or hack the game. Apparently all the puzzles are on the cartridge and the download service merely unlocks them. According to "research" there are 27 extra puzzles in total, so the service will finish in August.

So I wonder if the code you get from the second game to unlock the extra stuff in the first game would work for the US version or if they made it to have a different code for each region.

I just recently purchased this game with my Action Replay, just to see what all the hubbub was about.
Now, I'm only up to
Spoiler:
Looking for the boat guy after Simon gets killed

But from what I've seen, it lives up to all the hype, if not more.
It's a good game, it helps me get my gears turning, and my parents enjoy it too, actually.
I'm enjoying in greatly so far, though I'm stuck on the dice puzzle ^^;;;

One thing I hate about this game is that......

Spoiler: For ending
They shove all the answer at the end. All these mysteries left and they get solved one by one just from walking up the tower.

I got this game a few days ago and have already beaten it. However, that it's too short is the only bad thing I have to say about it! I loved the story and the characters, especially the Professor himself. And the puzzles! They were so addicting that I haven't even been on CR much for the past two days all because of solving more puzzles. I had a very hard time stopping each night to go to sleep. I'm very glad that they're already clearly making a sequel.

I was EXTREMELY surprised that I heard there was a sequel, so much as three installments total. It was SUCH a great game, so I was very depressed when it was over.

And I don't know why, but I have this recent obsession with Layton himself. Maybe it's the top hat( ?? ...I've never likes top hats before, to be honest...), I don't know, but something about him just wins SO HARD.

Layton was a game that when I saw it, I was like, 'Uh, no." and then I got it after becoming addicted to the demo at Wally World and now I'm totally addicted.

He's cute. In a sort of 'why is that guy wearing a top hat he's not that old and how is he a professor he's way too young' kind of way.

Good to know that I'm not the only one to do that. I didn't think these games could get any cooler. I was wrong. (WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! SWORDFIGHTING!)

I want this game, but not for the reason everyone else wants it.
It's made my Level 5, who designed some of my favorite video games of all time, Dark Cloud and Dark Chronicle for the PS2. Hearing about this, I seriously want it.

My other half says she's got a promo Layton tophat somewhere... maybe I'll have to ask her to dig it out and take a photo for "display" purposes heh... she even "suggested" I should "consider" roleplaying as Layton at this year's San Diego Comicon. Urm.... right... maybe. I'd have to drop my thin rim specs and facial hair first hah...

Why does she have it? She's a huge collector of various promo items and junk that are given away by companies and shops.
