Ah, well.I'm torn between whether I want to support ApolloXJuniper or ApolloXAthena. The Juniper pairing is far more blatant, but you can just see how similar Apollo and Athena are in personality in nearly every situation. Like in the final movie,

I'm not a fan of AthenaXBlackquill. He's older, sure, but he was definitely more a protective white (black?) knight, throwing himself in front of the attack to protect the girl. And while Athena wanted to save Blackquill, it was more because she knew he was innocent, not out of any romantic feelings. I could possibly see MetisXBlackquill, at least one-sided on his part. Too bad we couldn't analyse him while he was talking about Athena's mom. On second thought, that probably would've creeped her out.
I don't want to dwell on it too much, but I'm also generally in the camp that I don't like gay pairings. Not for any homophobic reasons, but because people usually just grab any two characters, throw them together and say "There! Paired!" Is it no longer possible for two people to just be friends? Wright and Edgeworth were childhood friends, but so was Butz, and I don't see any WrightXButz or ButzXEdgeworth pairings. Aura and Metis, though... there's definitely something more going on than just protege and mentor there. Not quite sure what, but it's there. (Plus, AuraXGun. She's snuggling that thing a bit too much at times.)
You know, I never really saw Ponco and Clonco interact with each other, so I don't know how well they'd do together. The closest it came was in court, when Aura possessed Clonco and Ponco took the stand. However, I'm pretty sure they're certainly compatible; I bet you could swap their parts without any issues whatsoever!

I agree with you on this one. Apollo and Athena seem more like 'partners' imo, and Athena did truly seem to be cheering on her friend.

Exactly. This is the possible hints of pairings in-game thread, not the pairing characters for fun thread. Plus, what you said about Cykesquill is true, but I like to think of Blackquill as Athena's brother figure.

For an instant, yes. Or according to chapter 2, Juniper was so glad to have her knight in shining armor appear to free her from her imprisonment. So was Athena, with a little more focus on kicking someone's arse.

I kind of view that line as something of the sort "she loved you", but kind of like a very close friend. Not fully satisfying to Aura, but I suppose it still would matter to her.

That isn't really evidence at all... I mean, sure, it doesn't necessarily specify that it was romantic, but I'm pretty sure that's what the writers were intending with it-- after all, didn't she have that whole "obsessive" type thing going on with the picture and all? I know you don't like gay pairings or whatever, but don't try and pretend that the evidence indicates something different just because you don't like what it indicates.

Yeah Aplab it's true it's not concrete proof but this thread is only about hints and it definitely seems a stronger hint towards romantic feeling than mutual friendship (which seemed to be what they already had).
However yeah you might not see it and that's fine, just saying it's a possibility.
