If Phoenix really is abroad all game, then I hope his side of the story isn't loaded with character cameos. There are some characters that I'd love to see him interact with again (Ema, Iris, Larry, etc) but I don't want them shoehorned into the Kingdom of Kurain just for the sake of fanservice.

I don't care too much about Apollo's side for this sort of thing, but something I think could be cool would be a case handling Kristoph's sentencing. I don't think these games ever really go into much detail about sentecing, and I think that most people would like to see Apollo and Kristoph get a little more screentime together. Again, only if they can reasonably fit it into the story though.

Ema has a pretty good chance of showing up, I think. For story-related reasons they couldn't really use her as the detective in DD, that doesn't seem to be the case with AA6.

So it's likely not Gumshoe, he's appeared in enough games, and as you said, they won't introduce a new one.
Since Ema only had one appearance as detective, I think she has a good chance.

Ema coming back doesn't necessarily mean Gumshoe's out of the picture.
Maybe they made him chief of criminal affairs or something along those lines.
And if Ema comes back then I'd also like to see the mini-games from 1-5 and 4-2 as well :scientific:

C'mon. I don't wanna have the character bloat problem the GK games had again. (Multiple partners, detectives and rivals to the point of redundant roles)

...unless you meant we'd have Ema in Kurain and Gumshoe in Japan... though, I can't help but feel maybe that's a missed opportunity, since I did rather like Fulbright in DD and it gives me hope they can create other new detectives that are fun to get to know. (and the IMO best thing about DD when I off-handedly think of it is how colorful and memorable its cast was)

I kind of hated Mr. Hat in AJAA to be honest, but now that I've seen what they did to Trucy in DD, I'd much rather have Mr. Hat back... but I'd also like Trucy to sound like her smart and spontaneous self and not a predictable one-liner machine again.

Trucy has to be my most hated character from DD. Every conversation is about magic. I had no idea she was a magician from her appearance. At least in AJ she was more than just magic panties all the time.

On topic, I'd like to see Lamiroir appear as the defendant for the final case. She refuses Apollo's help, but he won't take no for an answer. During the trial she is revealed to be his mother, by means of perceiving her habit involving her bracelet.

I'd like AJ Trucy to come back.

Given that it seems like Apollo will be in Japangeles taking care of stuff, it's very likely that Trucy will be back as the assistant and Ema as the detective now that Fulbright's gone. I'll be crushed if she's just put in the office again as magic panties one-liner comic relief and unable to join the investigation because "lol school"

I also couldn't care less about Athena. She can go away for all I care. Her story is pretty much wrapped up. However, I doubt they'll just write her off like that. She can come back and be Phoenix's assistant or something, I guess.

I'm actually rather curious as to how they'll respond to the player-reactions from GS5 in regards to the often shoehorned returning characters/cameos. Will AA6 be more fanservice galore or will it be less or just the same?

I wanna say it's gonna be the same because they're sticking to a formula that sold in spades and got the (i think) highest Famitsu score to date (because the final twist :/ ) but I hope they'll try to subvert some expectations anyway.

I really hope they don't make another new detective. Splitting up Nick and Apollo is a good way to get back Ema and Gumshoe (though personally I don't think they write Gumshoe very well)

Fanservice and cameo galore is inevitable with these guys. Past titles say it all. But a new setting in this game means a lot more possibilities for both new and old characters to show without always having to mingle. It's a hesitant step away from their comfort zone back in Japan and into new territory, but it works.

Sure beats Hino trying to shove the good professor in front of Nick all the time.

DD's cast outside of the cameos felt like it was the most original we'd seen since Apollo Justice despite all... I just wish they could take it one step further and only bring in cameos who are actually relevant to the cases than to shoehorn them in like Klavier or Pearl. (Edgeworth was passable and nonetheless, nice to see them)

I feel DD confirmed what I desperately wanted to know after AJ:AA: "Does Nick still keep in touch with his old friends" and it showed more than enough to reassure me he did, so I don't really feel like seeing more Trilogy characters returning to be honest. Now that we're in Kurain Kingdom though, it would be odd not to somehow meet Maya in person... I know she's in Kurain Village or Hazakura more likely, but this premise still reeks of involving the Feys again and giving their clan more backstory in a bigger picture.

It'd be nice if, for example, GS6 decides "let's bring in Franziska" please make it at least one whole trial segment. IMO they can't bring back an assistant or rival and just use them briefly during investigations and never in court like with Pearl and Klavier. DD was a clear improvement over both GK games when it comes to how they included returning characters. IIRC Ema even shows up in the final case of GK2 with no reintroduction when you need forensic equipment. Stuff like that is fortunately no longer in there.

I already said this on a different thread, but if anyone wanted Colias to return, he probably could. Let's say that Colias goes to Kurain to Promote Cohdopia more there. Now, he could be a good defendant for one of the filler cases (assuming it's not like AAI, where every case is connected, then he could just be a witness). Now, since he's new to the country, a bit shady, and the evidence points to him, along with the detective in kurain (unless it's Gumshoe, Lang, or Badd) not knowing Colias's good intentions, they would assume he's the killer.

I'd personally also like it if Debeste and/or Blackquill come back in the game too.

I'm not going to state the obvious, as it's highly likely she'll be in the game as it currently stands.

Phoenix trilogy: I'd rather not see Edgeworth again for a while, but Franziska and/or Gumshoe would be great. Maya and Pearl are kind of a given.

Apollo Justice: Ema of course, and possibly Machi, with or without Lamiroir. And Valant of course! He could be touring in Kurain. (But please - no Klavier).

Investigations series: I'm not gonna hold my breath for anyone from these games to return but I want to see what Kay and Sebastian are like as adults. And as ThatoneJimmy pointed out, Palaeno could work.

Dual Destinies: Given the foreign setting Blackquill and Athena are the only characters that I can picture returning at the moment, but then, I have a terrible imagination.

I'm kind of sad that there will be much less of the Great Judgini in GS6 because of Kurain Judge. I wonder if they'll make the new one similar to The Judge? Or maybe more like Judge's Brother?

were the main prosecutor. Capcom hasn't revealed whom that might be yet, which makes me suspect that they may be trying to keep it a secret. Far fetched? Maybe. But this is Kurain, we're talking about. Anything goes! :godot:

Characters like Maya and Godot. (even if Godot/Diego Armando is running a coffee shop in Kurain) Mostly Maya because she is one of the most important people in Phoenix's life. If she becomes Trucy's new "Mommy" so much the better. :object:

That is something I would like to see, actually.It's been done in fangames before but it would be interesting to see how they would handle it in a canon game. Perhaps it could be a more sympathetic character that killed someone in self-defense like Dee Vazquez, giving the characters a reason to doubt they would murder someone again. Heck, they could even have Godot re-appear like that, and I'm sure it could make for some interesting reactions from certain characters.
