Yes, a plot thread from AA4 is picked up on.

So from what I've heard,if the defendant is found guilty in Khura'in, then the defence must suffer the same consequences as the defendant. Is the sentence death or more along the lines of prison time? (I know Potdino says "Throw him in the clink" at one point so I'd assume the latter) Furthermore, is there a special game over sequence for Khura'in trials or does the case just end with a Guilty verdict like the previous games?

I noticed some people on Tumblr being really annoyed about the last cases, so can anyone give me an idea, or even tell me straight up, what's so bad about them? (Answer in PM if it's too spoilery for even a tag somehow :P)

Definitely, it was almost believable until the last point which in the context of the game and series as a whole makes absolutely no sense. Regardless, this is the "bad ending" that people are talking about. Don't believe everything you see on the internet.

There are five cases in the main game, then there's Turnabout Across Time and then the two pre-order episodes.

Actually it's not fake as it was confirmed by some of the people that actually played the game.

If this turns out to be true then... fuck there goes any chance of having a new protagonist

It was actually a rumor from a friend and I posted it to my spoiler blog which hardly have any followers so I didn't expect people to see it, I was freaking out at the time and worded it really badly so don't trust it too much.

I was only talking about Nayuta's dad in the second line since the sibling thing wasn't confirmed, just don't believe anything until someone post details about endgame.

Oookay, that sounds ridiculous even for AA standards. I don't like Apollo all that much, but he doesn't deserve such a weak ending (at least it sounds like a completely dissapointing solution to his story). I would understand if he opened his own agency, but not THAT

The more I think about it the less sense it makes. The idea that Apollo at some point was adopted by Nayuta's dad and was raised in Khura'in makes no sense, since it was established in AA4 and 5 that after Thalassa abandoned him he pretty much spent his whole life raised at the orphanage. Not only that, but AA5 confirmed that he was living in Japanifornia by the time he was in middle school as this was where he met Clay Terran. The rumour therefore implies that Apollo was abandoned, left at the orphanage, taken in by Nayuta's dad and lived in Khura'in for a maximum of like 8 years, only to then be dropped back off at the orphanage in Japanifornia for his middle school years and the rest of his life. Also the fact that throughout the series Apollo has never even passively mentioned that he lived abroad makes this even more ludicrous. Given this it's safe to say that the rumour is 99% fake, unless they decided to retcon the previous game which obviously won't happen.
Regardless, we've heavily deviated from the topic, and a discussion like this is best left for another thread so I'll stop here. My advice is to be careful when posting alleged rumours on the internet because there are people who will take them as fact. Let's just wait until we have factual evidence before discussing this.

Yeah, it's my fault since I was actually just talking about the rumors with a friend and didn't expect people to reblog it. I'll definitely be more careful in the future, I'll just post things that are confirmed from now on.
