Many have commented about dissatisfaction from case 2 being solved for you by Mia; you can only win when after she tells you that the receipt was dated yesterday. While playing through PW1 in French (I am a student of the language), I noticed that, during the initial investigation phase, Phoenix says something interesting when he picks up the receipt. He quite clearly states that it is dated "hier": "yesterday".

Case 2 in my mind has gone from "kind of cheap" to "really cheap", because you need Mia's help to get information you already have.

I am sorry if this is redundant.

... ok, and that somehow wasn't updated to the Court Record? Seriously, every little minor detail about other pieces of evidence goes into the court record, and the fact that the receipt was dated yesterday wasn't? Why'd they even mention it?

It's not so much the recipt that bothers me, it's Mia's not note that bothers me. I thought that was pretty good reason to have Mia come back.

She seems to pull out a paper and pencil out of no where to write down some names that Redd White was involved with to push him into confessing. That is the only thing I got against case 2. I mean, I would've liked to catch him without having to practically blackmail him.

Funny thing is, I was trying like mad to look at the other side of that note for the entire trial teh first time I played it. Every time I got stuck, I would present it because I knew something important was on the other side.

OMG me too. For some reason I got stuck for almost half an hour on Aprils last testimony (yeah, yeah, sue me) and I was certain that the reciept had something to do with it. It annoyed me that he never read the back of the reciept... I really wanted to know.

It's irksome but there's nothing you can really do about stuff like that. It's Phoenix Wright, after all. If they gave everything to you at the beginning of a trial it would in no time at all, thus defeating all forms of drama that the designers intended the case to have. And, hating a case because of every single trivial matter regarding evidence or a testimony that pops up is no fun at all.
