It is stated in the game that there are tear marks in the evidence list. Then Edgy shoud've known that the list was shorter that it was origanaly. Also, Ema drew on the back. Don't tell me he missed that too!

Not too noticeable. It's like fax paper that's torn easily without much notice, it's not like gant went shhhhhhhrip. Of course, Edgey could have been too busy slashing his wrists to notice.

He did notice, remember? He's like, "The funny thing about this list is that it's half the size of most normal lists." It's possible that he'd noted the tear marks as well and said nothing... it's not like one can go around accusing the Chief of Police without substantial evidence, as Edgey undoubtedly knows.

AND THAT'S WHY HIS OFFICE HAD BLOODSTAINS INOWRIGHT?!

On-topic: It's not like Edgey could go up to Gant and say "THIS PAPER HAS TEAR-MARKS YOU MUST HAVE FORGED EVIDENCE THEREFORE." Things don't...work that way xP

When Edgy said that, I thought he ment by what was on the list, not the list size himself. You guys make a good point about the accusing thing. But what about the picture? Surely old Edgy noticed that?

When Edgey sees the picture in court, he says something along the lines of "Apparently the chief used this as scrap paper" for when the Blue Badger was designed. So he probably just dismissed it. Edgey said himself that the Blue Badger didn't exist until after SL-9, so he had no reason to think that a picture of the Blue Badger had anything to do with his case.

Not only that, but it looks like edgeworth has the second half of the evidence, meaning that he is missing all of the really important stuff, e.g. murder weapon, autopsy, ect.

PS- is it ect or etc?

I don't think it's ever really explicitly stated what the contents of those lists are.

Also, it's "etc" as an abbreviated form of the latin "et cetera" which roughly translated means "and so on"

Well, Edgeworth's list definitely would have had Darke's knife and the autopsy report, although the autopsy report was apparently...tweaked a bit so that the different stab wounds wouldn't have been noticed.

As for what was on the rest of that list, we don't know everything about SL-9. That list probably contained a lot of evidence that wasn't relevant to case 5's gameplay but would have been important at the time. Kind of like how in case 4 the bullet is listed as "evidence 9" but we never learn about the first eight pieces of evidence because they aren't important.
