And one account of a judge being struck so hard that he bled, via whipping.

The courtroom is the ideal place to set violence because the most dangerous kinds of people gather there - and I'm not only talking about the killers.

Speaking of which, where is the stenographer in all of these cases? We have a backlog now, but there's still no sign of the stenographer that provided it...

When Pearl was asking Elise about the words "roast" and "gravely" at the beginning of 3-5, I never realized that she was reading off the note her mother gave her. I always thought she was reading one of Elise's books and the words happened to be there.

Thanks to boredom and my copy of AAI and its manual in reach, I found out the game mechanic with Little Thief is called "Information Reproduction". I never knew that. Also, it says Kay's scarf is black, when it's clearly blue in-game.

One of the obvious things I never noticed until Dual Destinies was the Pun behind Winston and Gaspen Payne's name. Winston= Wince in Pain and Gaspen = Gasp in Pain :moe-laugh: :moe-laugh: :moe-laugh: :moe-laugh:

One thing that it took me a while to notice was that Maya has a magatma around her neck. I didn't notice it until near the end of GS2. I have no idea why it took me so long to notice it, but it did.

Ohhh boy I feel so dumb for this one, but I never knew :trucy: had a long ponytail.. :sadshoe:

I always though she had short hair! I LOVE her hair too which makes this even sadder! I quite literally found out today, after seeing the images of her in the art book that showed her hair from behind.

Was it obvious? I can't remember any time in the games we saw Trucy from the back or the side.

Exactly!! She was never seen in such an angle that you would see the ponytail, that's why I never knew ! But I mean, after How many years, and I never realized until right now! :larry:

...So it wasn't obvious? Did anyone else not notice she had one either?

It's definitely not obvious from the AJ sprites. If it's there, it's probably tucked into her scarf/cape.

It's definitely more obvious in the DD art, but it just looks short in AJ. Or tucked.

While you guys are on the topic of Trucy's ponytail, I might want to add my opinion on this.

Personally, I don't think her hair was tucked in. If it was tucked in, wouldn't it make her hair looks.... funny? Also, if her hair was shorter, then how does that explains the bangs she have? I think her ponytail is right there, and I think it's hidden by her neck scarf (is that what they calls those things?) and her cape. So, I'd say it was hidden and not tucked in.

Uh, I know what I said won't help explain why we didn't see her ponytail in the Apollo Justice game. It's just something to think about.

I would have thought so too, but there are official arts of her from AJ that show her with the ponytail.

This picture was the one that I first saw that showed her ponytail, much to my surprise.

And on second look of this one, you can see it by her scarf.

That second picture you showed I never understood, if characters from GS4 are in the picture, why the hell is Pearl still a little girl?! Does the image take place in a time paradox or something?

Haha, yeah it technically would be a time paradox. Also considering Ema is much older than Maya there, when they were like the same age.

But I guess, they just wanted to just show all the major characters in one picture. I mean Dual Destinies wasn't released when this drawing was out, so Pearl was only ever depicted as that cute little girl. :3

Although I WISH this time paradox was reality! Pearl and Klavier are much too cute together there! And it would be fun to see Klavier and Franziska officially meet and interact! And Pollo admiring and imitating Phoenix is just precious, and could you IMAGINE Trucy AND Maya together? Golden. :kristoph:

I just watched a video that pointed out something that blew my mind. Apollo and Trucy are brother and sister, and Phoenix is Trucy's adopted father, so that makes Apollo, legally speaking, Phoenix's son! Mind=Blown.

With Phoenix being a lawyer again, maybe he could find some loophole making him able to do it. But if anything, the thought of Apollo calling Phoenix "Daddy" sounds mostly kinky.

Not to mention the hilarious event of history repeating itself in that Franziska was shot in the right shoulder, just like her father.

It took me until a second playthrough to realize that in the security camera video in "Rise from the Ashes", that when Meekins got attacked, he started bleeding quite bit.

I didn't even see the blood on him the first time, and when I saw it the second time around, I felt so bad for him! :sadshoe:

Along with what the other two said, there is also Young Edgeworth doing the finger wag, if I am not mistaken.

Speaking of 1-5's security cam, I just realized, that's a really awkward angle for a security camera to have. Was it placed halfway down the wall or something?

There are no separate rooms for solved and unsolved cases. The room with the DL-6 file is only referred to as the Station Records Room, while the room in 1-5 is only referred to as a room for storing evidence for "extremely violent cases involving police staff."

Still seems insane that one room has these (supposedly) high tech lockers (which can easily be tricked by latex material abd have a mechanic that no detective actually knows about) for evidence on certain cases, yet majority of the other cases are just in a likely unlocked room where, while some people don't have access to can still be easily walked into, and seems to have no means of surveillance. You know. In case someone stole evidence.

It really makes you wonder about the state of the police. The original game started off with a bit of influence from public opinion of the Japanese police force, which had hit an all-time low during the 90s. Since then, the games have not been friendly to their police force, and as time goes on, more and more evidence suggest that it's not merely a case of a few bad officers as shown in the first game.

What happened to it and why hasn't this issue ever been brought up in any of the games at some point? I don't expect it to be solved any time soon, of course, but you'd think someone would have mentioned something other than a few idle complaints by now.

Again, it's called Flanderization. They made the police so imcompetent, so we'd have an easier time figuring things out. Which is terrible! Why even HAVE police if they are displayed as pointless? Even Conan does it better. Sure the police isn't the one catching the criminals all the time, but they still have their awesome moments of competence and add their weight to the investigation - including having a decent enough background to them, so they aren't one-dimensional characters - so it doesn't matter that Conan is the one stealing the show. (Well he IS the main character)
