I got a tattoo of Apollo holding the scales of justice today, and while that was completely intentional, stuff happened along the way that I found fitting.
First, it was me. For the day, without thinking about it I put on a shirt with rolled up sleeves, reddish slacks and black shoes (plus gold bracelet, but I always have that).
Second of all, it was an Asutralian guy that did the tattoo for me, so we spoke English, and therefore the very first thing I said to him today happened to be "I'm fine". (I think I said that once or twice more during the process as well)
Then someone put on Tenacious D, with lyrics such as "I don't need a microphone, my voice is so powerful" and "rise of the phoenix". Then they put on Dio and one guy said about the singer that "all his height went to his vocal chords".
And between lines and colouring, the artist took a break to eat his hamburgers sushi.

Bloody hell! That is one huge bloody heap of GS Connections!
But seriously, bloody hell!
Also, you spelt "Australian" wrong.

Ahaha. Yeah, it seemed fitting to the moment. I didn't spell it wrong, I made a typo.

Yesterday I was riding my bike and I went past someone and I swear the name tag on their shirt read "Athena." :athena:

A comment on a Cracked.com-article:
"Once worked with a guy whose last name was pronounced Koontz. The first time I saw his time card I burst out laughing and told him his parents must've been funny as hell. His name? Harry Kuntz."
So close.

From a book called All you need to know about the music business:

"For example, if you like flash, you may want a flashy lawyer (although I find more often that flashy artists like their lawyers to be staid and solid)."
Flashy lawyer in the music business... Hmm... :klavier:

"Screamers and table pounders, if they’re smart and knowledgeable, can get a lot out of a deal, but no more than those who speak quietly, if they’re smart and knowledgeable. Some people work with a foil, and some with a sabre. Both styles can be effective."
That's right, Apollo.
And some people work with a whip. Or violent beads.

I posted this on twitter once so some of you might have seen it. Manfred von Karma was in my English finals.

What is this final on? Was it really unintentional?

It was an English final. I went to a public school so all of the questions were provided by the nearest branch of the education ministry. If it was intentional, someone in the gov't has quite the sense of humor...

This is so amazing! I wonder whether that gov person is a hard core fan... That would be pretty nice.

Probably unintentional. They looked up 'Super duper hot Japanese but German Perfect Prosecutor' or something to that effect and voila. Still pretty neat though.

This was in the listening section, hence the lack of text. The speaker described a certain occupation and told us to choose between the 5 possible answers. (Sounds too simple for high school-level English finals, right)

Sadly he described a chef (iirc) and not a demon prosecutor. :karma:

Oh, I see, that makes a bit more sense now.

Also you're not alone, I too had to undergo this listening crap in high school even though it was super easy. Dunno why they even have that in your country.

"Don't forget DL-6." In all seriousness though, I wonder how credible that is.

Ah, that case was in the news last year. So it has finally concluded. I believe the parrot's testimony can be taken as reliable. These birds are quite intelligent and have excellent memory; and a horrific scene like a murder would leave a big impression. I'm sure it knew its owner had passed, so it kept repeating the one thing it last remembered about him.

4-1, right?

Though the scenario is definitely pretty old. Some people are gambling/playing cards, someone accuses another of cheating, and violence ensues. Though not all of these end up with someone getting him over the head with a 'grape juice' bottle.

Perhaps a bit far-fetched, but the first thing I thought seeing this picture was that with that stepladder, they should be the AA girls instead of the AAA girls.

A Swedish professor in legal process argued against accepting written witness testimonies in court because "paper doesn't blush". I think Apollo would agree.

Post subject:  Re: Unintentional GS connections in real life.

I have several:
As far as family goes, my dad’s name is Terry, and my brother’s name is Jeff.

And I have a cousin named Justine. She has hair very similar, and if she styled it just right she’d look exactly like her. In fact, it would be extremely easy for her to do, since she’s a hairstylist who graduated from a Paul Mitchell school. And she has a friend on Facebook named Courtney.

I live in Rochester MN and am living in an apartment building which is connected via skyway system much of the downtown area and, most importantly, to the world famous Mayo Clinic. Since obviously many people come from all over the country and world, there are bound to be people who look like and have names similar to AA characters. I can remember 2 lookalikes:

A month ago there was a lady who had a hairstyle and glasses like Shih-na.
Then this week there was one who looked like :adrian: but without her blue shirt/outfit.

Also there’s the Damon parking ramp, and in the past a Damon hotel on the same site. :damon:

Also in a church that I went to for a rummage sale there was a Wright (basketball) Court. There was a sign, but it was next to a door and a church member was standing in the doorway so I didn’t want to get a pic.

Also during the summer months there’s a festival called Thursday’s on First and Third. They have 2 stages where music is played and there are many food vendors and local craftspeople who have booths. One is called “We’re Old Bags”! :oldbag: When it comes back next year I’ll snap a pic.

Then there’s Janesville, Wi (where I used to live) whos street names have a veritable cornucopia of connections:

Swallow.
Pearl Street, :pearl:
Hawthorne Ave./ Park Drive and park,
Badger St.
Newman St.
Regent St.

and most importantly... Wright Road.

Oh man, I can just imagine the confusion coming from a road with that name.

"Is this the right road?"
"No, Wright Road is down the block."
"So I should take Wright Road?
"No, that's the wrong road."
"You just said it was the right road."
"You're on the right road. Wright Road is the wrong road."

At my last job I worked with a kid named Delicia. Wish I still worked there, because playing the game would've helped me prove to my co-workers it WAS a legit name (we're in England as well, hope she likes desserts!)

Some musical instrument related ones: (surprised no one has mentioned these)

In Europe there are Orla keyboards and organs.
Pearl :pearl: drums.
Hammond Organs.

And turning to the Investigations side: (if we count the fan translation)
Roland, a very successful manufacturer of electronic instruments such as keyboards, synthesizers, digital pianos, electronic drums, guitar synthesizers, etc. it would have been interesting if Ray had used the cliche “we could make such beautiful music together“ on Patty, since people and Roland have been making beautiful music together for many years. In fact, a lot of the instrument samples in the original trilogy came from Roland products (like the drums and the guitar sample)

Also I just remembered there’s a company in Janesville called Tigre :tigre: that makes sewer pipes. My brother worked there for a couple of years. Oh and BTW his name is Jeff.

Two strands of my hair randomly decided to stand straight up, causing my shadow to look like this

Otherwise, recently when I've washed my hair and it's drying one piece will usually end up looping down just like it does on Kristoph, that part that hangs down in the middle of his face. It's more or less the same colour as his, too...
