You spot references everywhere. References? Rather: a lot of stuff reminds you of Ace Attorney, and very much of said stuff is incredibly far-fetched.

Post subject:  Re: You know you play too much Phoenix Wright when...*SPOILE

Uhm, yeah, that. All the time. I often find "references" when I read. Words like "binoculars" , "ladder", phrases like "red and white" etc etc. "When he looked out again at the darkness beyond the bridge it eas snowing."

Anyway, what I originally came here to say was that I bought a white mug today. I don't need any more mugs than I already have, but I thought it'd make a good mug for coffee. After all, Godot drinks his coffee from a white mug.

Post subject:  Re: You know you play too much Phoenix Wright when...*SPOILE

Yes - that kind of stuff exactly.

And: haha! That's... I don't know, but I like it. Ambitious? Nerdy? I mean, why the hell not? Black coffee, white mug. Now all you have to do is increase your daily intake to hell knows how many cups. Speaking of, didn't you start to take your coffee black partly because of Godot, or am I just flanderizing you?

Author:  Going for Miles [ Tue Jul 14, 2015 6:20 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: You know you play too much Phoenix Wright when...*SPOILE

Yeah, maybe a contrasty, simplistic mug will enhance the coffee flavour. I trust Godot when it comes to coffee. I'm not entirely sure that was how it went down, but I feel like my eyes were fully opened to the magnificence of coffee because of him. :godot:

Post subject:  Re: You know you play too much Phoenix Wright when...*SPOILE

Now I'm starting to think hard if a certain café uses white mugs since their coffee is extremely hot and strong (and wonderful, even though I contaminate it with soy milk).

Ah, then I wasn't totally flanderizing you!

Ahh, an addition to certain-character-nerdiness: I've started to like birds more and more (all kinds of birds, that is, there were some that I already loved) because of a certain character who loves birdies. :simon: Just about every time I see a bird I think "d'aww, Simon likes".

Yes, my initial thought is that they did, all I could see in my head is that strong coffee in white mugs and hoped it wasn't just wishful thinking. But I really can't see anything else. So that's their secret!

Think that if there's a "Godot" Engine, then it's actually :godot: instead of a Game Making Engine.

You know you play too much Phoenix Wright when you realize that the hair of the Beethoven drawing on your music classroom looks like Ron Delite's.

You divide your dreams into two categories: dreams, and AA-unrelated dreams.

Shouldn't it be AA-Related? :ema:

Post subject:  Re: You know you play too much Phoenix Wright when...*SPOILE

No, that's the point. The unrelated ones are my "other" dreams since the related ones are so frequent.

When you use "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney" in a game of charades with your entire family, including your parents, grandparents, aunt/uncle and brothers and sister.

You barely play any videogames, but you buy a DS for one reason: to be able to replay AA. (Granted, I will buy more games, such as Ghost Trick and so on, but I wouldn't even buy the DS if it wasn't for AA. Being able to play other games on it is just a really nice bonus.)

And GfM, I agree about the dream-thing. (I don't even care for other dreams, since I'm not interested in dreaming overall, it has often filled me with unease because of a distorted reality... But AA-related ones? A completely different story, those are fun and doesn't feel distorted since it's a weird, fictional world anyway, so even the weirdass dreams are funny.)

I wouldn't really have bothered about wanting a 3DS if it hadn't been for PLvsPW. Now I'm glad that I own on in any case, but otherwise I'd probably have stuck for the Lite I already had.

And for me it's the other way around; the AA-dreams (re)awakaned my interest for all sorts of dreams.

Where is it?

When something is unexplained by the game so you write paragraphs explaining it.

...or that you're just slightly delusional, when you look at an auidience on tv from the corner of your eye and could swear you saw Redd White amongst them. I would have put it in the GS connections thread if there had been any resemblance whatsoever between Redd and the actual guy, but there wasn't.

Oh my dear. If one has to be slightly delusional that sounds like a pretty nice way of being so. (Not by seeing Redd White where no White should be seen, but AA-characters overall.)

You consider spending a few hundred pounds on a 3DS and a copy of Dual Destinies, just because your commitment to the fandom is so strong.

Even though you know you will never buy any other games for it and the 3DS will be lost in a drawer for five years.

Guys, I need you to knock some sense into me.

Please.

My bank cannot take a random hit like that.

^ Like he said. It's a great game, no doubt, but it's not worth bombing your account like that, especially if you can save up now for a later purchase.

...but at least you're not planning to jam-pack your 3DS with games so you need to keep buying SD cards. The original 2GB SD card that comes with the 3DS does not provide much leeway. Two AA games and it's practically filled up. I need another SD card. Where should I look for one less than 7 bucks?

You are probably both right.

I'll wait a while and just try to avoid spoilers on here.

One of the problems I have with waiting is that one of the people who have supported my comic has his own comic that uses DD sprites, and I feel bad for not checking out his comic.

Plus, the game looks really good...

Ah well.

It'll still be here next year.

Got a text message from mom. The first thing I see is "[sibling] has a stepladder..." My initial reaction was "why is she talking about stepladders?" (Because I associate them with AA, that is, not because "well, that seems random upon the first glance".) Yeah. Because stepladders are definitely AA-related and AA-related only. What does she have to say about stepladders, she doesn't know much about AA.

Oh God, I remember when I was really starting to get into the AA series. A friend of the family just passed the bar exam and landed a job with a really good law firm. We were throwing a party for him and celebrating him becoming a lawyer when my naive thirteen-year-old self went up to him and asked him, "So, where's your attorney's badge?"

I made him play the game later so he'd understand.

Some names just have that punny feeling to them so you find yourself trying to figure it out even when there is none.

This. Seriously. Back when I was a cashier and had to check the IDs of people who were purchasing alcohol and tobacco products, my eyes would skim across their name and try to make out a pun from it.

I was reading a comic and there was this line: "Toilets are sullied by humidity and daily use, and thus require constant cleaning and disinfection." And my first thought when I read it was 'Phoenix Wright would agree.' So now toilet-cleaning is an AA thing for me, apparently.
