I'd definitly say 1-4 was my favorite case.
It had copious amounts of Edgeworth in it, which made it much easier for me to pay attention. Granted, the "witnesses" we got - especially Lotta - were absolutely terrible and the whole point of getting onto a boat with somebody in the middle of night, it felt weird. Somehow, it made no sense for Edgeworth to do that. Especially since he says that Robert Hammond was basically a stranger to him.
And some of the 'theories' were terrible...

:karma: "Are you referring to the fact that the murder weapon contains fingerprints from Edgeworth's right hand, although the murderer shot with the pistol in his left hand? Quite frankly, Edgeworth shot with his left hand, wiped the prints and put the gun down, then proceeded to pick it up with his right hand."

Considering how nobody in the game objected to that theory, this was supposedly one that we were supposed to take seriously, or at least plausible? If Edgeworth had really done that, I would've lost all faith in him cause it takes a special kind of idiot to do that.
However, I enjoyed the case a lot, because it dealt with Edgeworth's past and we learn more about the DL-6 case. Although the case's summary and description of what happened is kind of off from what we've heard beforehand... And Karma was kind of a creepy person, so that made him a credible bad guy.

From the Apollo game, I'd have to say that I like 4-1 the most.
It didn't treat me like a complete idiot, constantly telling me to check the Court Record or that I should present something at this statement. Plus, it was nice to see a bit more of a more mature Phoenix, more laid-back and being openly sarcastic, rather than the bottled-up kind he was in the previous games. I liked his new look, too.
Although the entire perceive thing was kind of... meh.

Tough call, but maybe Farewell, My Turnabout.
Spoiler:
For starters, all characters, excluding Lotta and Oldbag, are awesome. I really got into Adrian's story, Matt Engarde was a great villain, Edgeworth makes his epic return, Gumshoe and Franziska are heroes, De Killer is awesome, Maya has the brilliant idea of using Mia for communication, etc. We get to go against Edgeworth in court, and he's easily my favorite to go against. And I really love the interactions between Pearl and Nick, how they both try to support and act tough for one another.
The beginning of the case is great too. The best cases get you intrigued right from the start, and you're barely a few minutes in until Maya's kidnapped. And because I'm a weirdo sadist, I enjoy Nick's freakout on the radio, as well as his concern for Maya throughout the case. The end of the trial the first day was done so well. You try so hard to keep it going, even so much that Edgeworth clues in and tries too, but you just can't. Phoenix despairs. I was flipping out too, the case made me seriously worry that Maya would die.
Another amazing moment was, of course, Matt revealing his face. Another moment I was completely flipping out, I thought there was no way Capcom would make me choose between saving Maya's life and getting a criminal convicted. And I continued hoping this when they kept up the search for De Killer. But naturally, they do make you choose, and it was an awful decision. Of course it didn't matter in the end, I didn't think it would, but I still felt awful making the choice (Guilty), even though I still think it was the better.
I could go on and on about all the fantastic moments and whatnot, but this case just really made me feel. There was just this tense atmosphere the entire time. There are several really tragic moments, and there's the totally amazing moments, like Edgeworth's sudden return (that music), and Franziska bringing the evidence. And of course the reunion with Maya, which is just the happiest, sweetest thing in the world. I've got nitpicks with the case, but those emotional moments are hard to top.

Other favorites are Turnabout Sisters, Turnabout Goodbyes, Bridge to the Turnnabout, and Turnabout Memories.

I really enjoy most of the cases in AA, and have a hard time picking my favorite because with the exception of the three cases I really dislike (2-3,3-3,4-2) I think they're all pretty great.

I really like all the cases in GS1. There's not a case in GS1 I don't like, but if I was going to select a few I'd say Turnabout Sisters and Rise from the Ashes. Turnabout Sisters is interesting because I played Apollo Justice first, so it was really great to get into Phoenix's story and see how different his beginning was from Apollo's. (Case 1-1 really was more of a prologue than an actual beginning of the wright and co law offices). I also really liked the case because it's the only one where Phoenix does his investigating alone, so if offers a different experience more like some of the old PC investigation games that were popular when DOS was around. I also really liked Rise from the Ashes, because it offered a case after the "finale" (which I've never really seen in a game) and was really long. Coming from Apollo Justice first, it was also cool seeing Ema's backstory. A lot of it is nostalgia, too, because I played that case at a very stress-free and happy time in my life.

In terms of GS2, Case 2-2 was my favorite. I liked the other cases (with the exception of 2-3 which I HATED) but that one was the one that was the most interesting to me.

With GS3, I really like the Mia cases and Bridge to the Turnabout, but I'm not crazy about 3-2 and I think 3-3 is terrible. But Bridge to the Turnabout is my favorite here, because of the Spirit Medium stuff, the paranormal stuff going on, the twists regarding characters, and the fact that it's a finale to the trilogy. It's kinda like an episode of Law & Order, Medium, The X-Files, and Miami Vice rolled into one.

I really like all the cases in GS4 except for 4-2, but even that one is ok save for all the panty jokes. I think my favorite is Turnabout Succession because of it's length, how exciting it was, and how everything kind of led up to that point.

I don't have a favorite in AAI because while I like all the cases, none of them really stand out to me as being amazing.

If I was going to pick my favorite case of all time, I would have two answers: Rise from the Ashes and Turnabout Succession.
I used to have Sam Waterston as my avatar but photobucket added a watermark and also Law & Order has been cancelled for 10 years so it's time for me to move on.

It gets really hard to pick one. All had good aspects and bad aspects.

But as a whole game, maybe Trials and Tribulations would be my fav.

My favorite AAI case would be I-4, I guess...
Simply because Edgeworth wears his freaking awesome vest. Also, the entire thing that gets said when you check out the vending machine in the hallway. That's freaking hilarious to me. I disliked the whole thing with Kay and that really idiotic thing that Edgeworth did....

Spoiler: You idiot, Edgeworth...
how can you be so stupid and give a potential murder suspect a freaking weapon!?

I haven't gotten very far in GK2 right now... I'm currently in the airplane and starting to lose the overview of things. I don't remember the first case of AAI being as long as this one...

This, just this.

Also 3-4.
Spoiler:
Sure, it had a downer ending, we knew it would end horribly, and "Melissa Foster" is... you know, but before that, the back-and-forth OBJECTIONS between Mia and Edgeworth was probably the best back-and-forth OBJECTIONS I've seen in a case.

From GK, I'd say I-4, just for that courtroom music.
From GK2, I still haven't found an English copy...

The rest were still awesome. minus the clown

2. Turnabout Goodbyes (for the first time i can feel so intense)
3. Farewell, My Turnabout (DE KILLER FTW!)
4. Turnabout Memories (My Dollie does not poop!)
5. Rise from The Ashes (hella tiring but with Ema Skye, it's all worth it)
6. Turnabout Samurai (i love Dee Vasquez and Will Powers okay)
7. Turnabout Beginnings (i just love the storyline)
8. Turnabout Sisters (this is my fave case which has the Fey Clan as a center)
9. Bridge To Turnabout (i found it a little bit boring and capcom just over-complicate things to make it longer)
10. Recipe For Turnabout (Ridiculous to say the least)
11. Reunion and Turnabout (cant stand Morgan Fey at all)
12. The First Turnabout
13. Turnabout Bigtop
14. The Lost Turnabout (simply the worst "tutorial" case ever)

My favourite would be 1-4. I also love 3-3 and 3-5. I enjoyed GK-4. I'm playing GK2-5 now, but I'm not sure what I think yet.

In my opinion, the final cases are the best cases in their respective games. The only exception to this is Turnabout Ablaze. I felt that that case dragged on for too long, and I preferred Turnabout Reminiscence.

Farewell, My Turnabout, without any doubt.

The tension of the case, the lesson learned in the end, the suspense, the epic moment that Matt showed his true self... Ah, for sure it makes JFA my favourite AA game.

Well, I absolutely loved the suspenseful final cases (or, in the case of 1-4, the original final case), 1-4, 2-4 and 3-5, but apart from them I was very fond of 2-2 and 3-4. My number one might be 1-4.

The more I think about the more obvious it gets that 1-4 is my favourite case. For one, I've played it 3 times and I plan to do it again, that coming from someone who really couldn't see the point in replaying cases before, and I've only played two other cases a second time. It's not so much about the gameplay as everything else, it just hits the right places, it's perfect and in my opinion no other case will ever reach the same standard.

This was the first time I really felt something was at stake, and that I had to save my client. 1-3 had just ended on a happy note and I was beginning to really like that Edgeworth, then this comes as a punch to the solar plexus. The beginning has this weird, cramped atmosphere when Phoenix finds out what has happened via the tv and rushes to the crime scene - he's upset, Maya's upset, Gumshoe's fucking furious - and that was great as well How much they all cared for this person. Over all, there's so much supressed emotions tied to the case, like how Edgeworth was acting when we frst met with him in the detention center, and when he later sucked it up and asked Phoenix to be his lawyer, and later on when he opened up for Phoenix about the nightmares he'd had for 15 years. It really showed a new side to Edgeworth and added a layer (I nearly wrote lawyer) to his relation with Phoenix. In 1-2 when hearing he'd be facing Edgeworth Phoenix thought "I didn't expect to meet him this soon" and that really took on a new meaning when we learned their history. And then there was this whole thing about Maya's mother working with DL-6, which made it very sad and creepy to learn that it was the case where Edgeworth's father had been killed, and it was cool that we got to solve it as well. Getting to the bottom of 1-4 and DL-6 really had an impact on so many people and the feeling of the entire case was dark, raw and emotional, and what packs the greatest punch for me is that this was what it all came down to from the very start - Phoenix getting into being a lawyer for the sake of meeting Edgeworth and "saving" him, and save him he eventually did, in so many ways. So much tension, and so much relief for so many parts when it finally came to an end. Not to mention the hilarious moment of awkwardness right after the verdict had been handed:
Edgeworth: Th-thank you.
Phoenix: Y-you're welcome.
And perhaps the best of all: "WHOOOOP!". And the day after when Phoenix comes to the office with a hangover.

Then we have the legend that is von Karma. He was a worthy opponent with an "Objection" from hell. And a taser! And a bullet in his shoulder! And head banging! He really made the trials. Literally, and by being absolutely terrifying.

The moment when you get a Guilty verdict and think you're screwed and then Larry busts in with an objection is also worth mentioning. Such a hero.

In a way, this case ended some really personal things for the people involved, but it also was the start of many things important to the series. The love-hate relationship between Phoenix and Edgeworth, Edgeworth's fear of earthquakes and elevators, the von Karma family... And that this was the (original) end of GS1 lifts the whole case and makes its impact that much bigger.
(......Ack! I've run out of snide comments!)

While I overall agree, 1-4 is my favorite case, too, I have to say... Karma was... kind of... a disappointment. I was really expecting to see the "perfectly prepared witnesses and perfectly prepared evidence" that Edgeworth was on about a few times. But in that aspect, Karma was about as good as his job as all the other prosecutors...

I'm going to do a formal ranking of all the cases at one point but I just want to mention something about 1-4; the end. Von Karma is definitely a top 2 or 3 favorite characters for me and the confrontation against him is so short but so amazing because you've been fighting him the entire time. I actually felt like I was fighting the God of Prosecutors and he wasn't a "tough" Prosecutor that was actually really pathetic (*coughGodotcough*)

Anyway, proving Von Karma was the murderer (the metal detector is absolutely my favorite "Take That!" in the series) and his subsequent headbang is one of the (or maybe the) most gratifying moment in the entire series for me. I also love the way how after his confession, he simply commands the Judge to do the right thing; he's done manipulating the courts. He knows he lost so he just accepts his defeat (as Court Begins 2001 swells in the background)

I'm still not entirely sure if that's what happens. Cause retraining the parrot seems not like he's perfectly preparing something, it's more like something stupid to do on the off-chance that Phoenix is dumb enough to be all "I'mma cross examine a parrot! ...it'll be the pinnacle of my career!"
I think the parrot didn't react to "Did we forget anything?" because pets tend to not do the things they are trained to do in front of an audience.

Well, he certainly made my job harder by objecting to everything. I think he was a bit tougher than the others. And yeah, putting the final nail in his coffin was epic. Especially since this was the first final case so there hadn't been any moments like that before. Although I wish they had refrained from having Mia appear as a deux de machina and let the player figure out the bullet problem themselves.

AA 1-5
1-4 1-5 2-3 2-4 3-1 3-3 3-5 4-1 4-4 5-3

AAI
1-2 1-3 1-4

It is rather shameful that they didn't include Maya and Mia in the 5th installment unless by DLC only.
