No need for a backup me, I'll be providing testimony for the Edgeworth to poke holes into, but I expect him to get penalties if he says something stupid (But of course, with the mountain of Evidence against Phoenix in his denial, I think Feenie will crack under the pressure, but I won't make it easy ^_^

Ah, this court case has to rebut/explode the most common arguments against this pair. Which seem to be
-Iris [we already exploded that myth earlier in the thread]
- they just have a family relationship like siblings. Too much like siblings to be romantically attached. [Uh no. I can see this argument against Franziska-Edgeworth however.]

Oh, I also agree with icer about the idea of exploding the arguments against this couple.
Another argument that people often uses against a romantic relationship between them is their age difference. Although I see nothing wrong about their age difference (it's not a huuuge difference, after all), and I don't understand how the same people that states that they can't have such a relationship because of their ages, approves of Maggey and Gumshoe relationship (they have the same age difference)!

Regarding the 'sibling argument', well I agree that Phoenix is most definitely an honorary member of the Fey clan [aka Mia-Maya - Pearl, even Iris family] but I don't see why this would void any romantic relationships. As Zeon Twilight wrote in their recent awesome fic, the first few cases Phoenix initially looks out for Maya because she's 'Mia's sister', but by the end of 1-4 and certainly by 1-5, he's attached to her as 'Maya' in her own right. The part where she says she has to be a 'good big sister to Nick and Pearly' [LOL] doesn't require a literal interpretation of this being the only possibility of their relationship dynamic. The 'they're like siblings so it's like incest [!]' does seem to be people's most common reason again this pairing for some reason, so does anyone else have anything they can think of to rebut that argument?

Yeah, I'm male (finally changed it so people know)
they also tend to support Edgey and Franny, which is a cute pairing in itself, but they are even more like Brother and sister.
I can see the Bro/sis connection in the first game, for a few cases, but from the second game on, Maya seems more and more mature (While still being playful) and while they still have their little play fights, it seems to have a different Aura to me than the first game.
The other arguement they like to use is "Phoenix is gay, he's got the hots for Edgeworth" Mind the, the PxE pairing I can indeed imagine, but the evidence for it is more scarce than for the PxM pairing, from what I can tell anyway.
