The current isssue of the German magazine "Spiegel" (issue 17 of 2009) has an article on page 40 about a double murder case that will be gone through a third time in court. The two previous times, the court wasn't convinced that there was enough evidence to prove the suspect guilty. This time, the prosecution and the police use the help of a medium (!!) to prove their theory. The woman proved several times that she has special powers (or similiar) and now Germany has its first criminal case with the powers of a medium working for the state's side.

Is this real?

Apparently yes ...
The court is not convinced that she really has psychic powers, but that she knows enough to be an important witness.

Working the register yesterday, a man named "Nick Wright" came through my line, he also happened to be a paralegal (not a lawyer, but in the same field anyways) I couldn't help but start to giggle.

My chemistry teacher is fond of making me grin to myself.

For example, when my class is like this: :gs4-people: he tells us that if we don't shut up we'll be held in contempt of court.

The goggles we use are called 'Kalavier', which is funny when you're obsessed and misread things like me. :rock'n:

Or like today, when I failed my first exam but got top marks on my second and I got called the Master of Turnabouts :king:

I also use smilies waaaaaaaay too much~

When I was doing my work experience I saw the name Edgeworth written on a file.
The company also had a computer program called Iris.
Finally, when my laptop starts up there is a little logo in the bottom corner which says Phoenix.

My school mascot is a bear, and there's someone at my school named Juan.

Not like that's a big coincidence. If the person in the mascot suit was named juan, then I'd laugh but his name's mike, not juan

Last summer my mom and I were looking to make some extra cash (just for the lulz, really), so we took up a cleaning job for a local mall. Now, I live in Iowa, so there was major flooding that caused certain offices to relocate at the mall we were helping clean up.
I was taking a coffee-drenched garbage bag out of the can, I saw a sheet of paper that gave an example for some form. The name? John Doe. The occupation? Helpful Citizen.

Needless, to say, I lol'd.

Oh, and I also recall that in elementary school, I once had a sub named Mrs. Justice. :gant:

I nearly died laughing today, during our finals.

See, we had to choose between 6 different texts, and then pick one we wanted to write about.
The first was a novel, the second was a newspaper article, and the sixth was an essay titled "waiting time".
Part of it said, and I quote, "we all wait. We wait for the bus, for eachother, for Godot and for the handyman". It caught me completely off guard and I just couldn't stop giggling like an insane fangirl. People were staring at me funny XD

Then, to make it all better, 5 hours later, I was talking to my friend about it and she said she broke down laughing too, then we discussed how awesome it was that Godot was actually mentioned and just at that time, a guy came running past us, shouting "we need more coffeecups down here". I fell on my knees laughing XD that was one awesome day.
