Loved to hate-
Miles- I played PW2 first (by mistake- it makes having 'amnesia' cooler though ;) )He felt like a token character in PW2 and was kinda mysterious in that, and I really liked him in most of PW1, btu as soon as he got storyline I quickly lost interest in him cause alot hes REALLY pretty ( *u* ), and is delightfully arrogant in court (*swoon*), that's all I like about him. Miles outside of court is emo and irritating T.T I don't hate him though. Crouton is slowly trying to convert me. If he's not emo in GK1, then maybe I'll flip back to being ok with him again.
Iris- Specifically her, not Dahlia, cause Dahlia is a WICKED awesome evil chick
I was actually roped into the whole true love thing with Phoenix and Iris, and my dreams were shattered in AJ1 when NO mention of her was made. I was SO close to thinking Phoenix had an ounce of straight in him too. I don't care what the OTP crowd says about those two. They didn't even HINT that Phoenix could have someone. It's like Phoenix doesn't day for 7 whole years. Shattered. I'm now divorced from ever liking those two together, and it was the only reason I liked her in the first place.Maya- *shot* She never really matures ^^; That's kinda irritating, cause most of the characters do. She has brave moments, btu when she gets back to everyday life, it's all about burgers. There's only a certain amount of that I can tolerate. Pearl was a nice change. She's so sweet and protective ^^ (Too bad she was pro Maya x Phoenix...)
Hate to love-
Oldbag- I think she drove EVERYONE nuts in the first 2 games. She grew into a lovable old woman by PW3 though ^^
Godot- At first he bored me cause he was so silent in the first trial and I was like... what's up with that? Second case onwards? BAM! Godot is all about character. I don't care much for his in court aggression, but it's all SO out classed but his well targeted character. He's so perfect TuT
Gumshoe-I played PW2 first, so already 'knowing' Gumshoe in the first case and being yelled at for not remembering him got me off to a bad start. When I got to know him, Gumshoe quickly became the biggest sweety in the world ^^ I use to ask certain questions cause I hated walking away from him when he had a sulk on his face
*snuggles*Franziska- I still don't 100% like her, but out of court Fran is an interesting character, how she almost stalks people for perfection :)

At first, I didn't like Iris at all; she was so sickeningly sweet, and passive, and I was an avid Phoenix/Maya shipper, so I was kind of ughhh.
Then I came into fandom. She got so much hate that I think I actually started liking her out of spite. :P Also, pretty fanart on the Phoenix/Iris thread actually made me like her with Phoenix to an extent.

- I was pretty pissed at him when what he did was slowly unveiled in court, but I dunno. He's a pretty cool guy when he's not on his period. Kinda grew on me over time. Plus I've developed this soft spot for what people tag as "bad guys"; learned not to look at them at a surface level.Uhh... yeah. That's all I can think of at the moment.

Iris. Hardcore. Fandom set me up so much that I thought I was going to love her to bits, and then I see her in-game, and, just... OMG. She's boring. She's a kiss-arse little sap. And everyone goes on about how gorgeous and sweet and good she is. The fangirl in me is even set aside: I should dislike her on principal since she majorly got in the way of my OTP, but it's not even that: I just see her as kind of pathetic, and think "WHY, Phoenix?" (I mean, even if he's straight or bi, there are THAT many other awesome women in the series who actually have personalities beyond being meek and teary and sappy.)

Victor Kudo. Initially I just found him annoying, but after a bit I started to find him amusing. Also, I love his theme music.
Maya-- at first, I thought she was just downright irritating and hyper-excitable, but midway through the second game, I realised that she'd grown on me and I couldn't imagine not having her around. I think her unrequited semi-crush on Phoenix is cute, and I think she's good for him to have around (I do NOT ship them, but I think they make a great team).
Ini Miney-- again, I thought, "Who's this dipstick?" but when the character reveal stuff came out, you just get to see how bright she is underneath it all. And the dippiness becomes amusing after awhile.
Furio Tigre-- damn, he's annoying. But after seeing him in court, I actually found him kind of amusing, and I loved the reactions everyone else has to him.

YES. That was my reaction, too. I suspect she might have a crush on Phoenix, but that she's kind of naive about it all, and that it's just one of those hopeful teenage crushes on an older guy who seems pretty cool. (Hell, who hasn't had a crush on a teacher or an older brother's friend or something?) But even the nature of such a crush is kind of immature and relies on a lot of fantasy about what the other person is. To me, Maya sees Phoenix as a cool, younger adult she gets to tease and hang out with and have fun with. She doesn't even flirt with him, and he doesn't with her, but they have a serious I-care-about-you-MAJORLY thing going on. (And I'd argue something like that can last longer, and be a lot stronger and more honest than a romantic or sexual relationship.)
I can't see Phoenix taking advantage of her, and I think that underneath all the lightheartedness, Phoenix is rather complex-- and that Maya, bless her soul-- would have a hard time dealing with that. If I was going to ship Maya with a guy a lot older than her, I'd go with Will Powers. He's friendly, kind of similarly naive, and they have similar interests.

Actually, weirdly enough, I'd ship her and Miles. It's not cause Miles is perfect to ship with anyone *cue Edgeworth mafia cheering on this victory admission*, but cause Miles seems to care about Maya on a different level to Phoenix. It was quite a while ago so I can't remember it too well, and any hatred I ever had has drowned in the sea of my ever-growing love for him (wow hi crappy poetics) but I'm pretty sure I used to hate Edgey. I mean, yeah, he's the schmexiest Ace Attorney character ever created, but still, you have to admit that he was kind of a jerk at first. I don't really remember though. I do remember that it was the fourth case that turned me into a fangirl. 
I love him to death now (he's like a giant teddy bear, you just can't NOT love him!) but I also didn't like Hobo Wright at the veeeeeeeeeery beginning. He just made me angry. It's not something I can explain. As for characters I love to hate, that would be Klavier Gavin. Seriously, What's his deal!? He's not even that good looking. Except he does have really cute baby blue eyes. My best friend (who USED TO be an Edgey fangirl alongside me) absolutely LOVES him just because he's in a band. What the heck!? It's like his band signed a contract that said every single one of their songs had to have something to do with love and the police. And the lyrics to The Guitar's Serenade just SUCK ARSE!!!!!!!! BAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!! And naming the band after himself? Come on. You've got to be really pathetic to do that. I mean, really. Go listen to some Beatles, grab some LSD, and write REAL music. I love all the AA characters as if they were my own characters (except Klavier!) so it's a lovable kind of hate when I say that I hate von Karma. I still love them all, including him. I love Manfred von Karma, I really do. Not like a romantic kind of love though! It's like... he's so evil it's actually kind of insanely cool. So when I say that I hate him, I don't really mean that I HATE him. He's just so much fun to make fun of... along with so many others. ...Yep. Not as good as the original. Oh, and just as an afterthought, Mia has really started to annoy me too. Like, really bad.

Zak Gramarye. First I thought he was just a jerk. Now I love him precisely because he's such a jerk (the famous comic probably helped). He's also a much more well-rounded character than I first gave him credit for.

Oldbag. In 1-3 I found her amusing and interesting, but the 2-4 version was just annoying.

The only one that actually fits that expression would be Redd White, even though he's far from my favourite villain. It's just pure fun to see him go down.
As for the other villains, I either hate them (Dahlia), fear them (Kristoph) or can't help but love them despite all the horrible things they do (Karma, Gant, Atmey, Tigre).

When I first saw him, I thought he was just a lame Phoenix clone, but turns out he isn't. He's one of my favorite characters. His CHORDS OF STEEL, his awesome hair, his determination, and his overall interesting personality is what makes me like him so much. Sorry for underestimating you, Apollo. You're #1!

In Dahlia's case, I don't think she did anything she wasn't pushed into by circumstances: I see her as someone who's incredibly resourceful and quite clever. The situation with

Angel? Initially I found her incredibly irritating, but by the end of that case, I just felt sorry for her given the way she'd been shafted by everyone. Like a lot of the AA women, underneath the breezy cutesy facade, she was actually quite bright and what happened to her struck me as ridiculously unfair and kind of horrible. And unlike the unfairness that hit the more central characters in that case, she never got resolution or anyone even recognising how badly she got stuffed around by circumstances that she really played no part in.

This is my deep dark secret. When he first appeared in court, I was all, "DAMMIT FRILL FACE STOP COCK BLOCKING MY EVIDENCE FAGGOT." The opening scene to 1-4 made me happy in my pants and I was yelling, "FUCK YEAH THAT BITCH IS GOING TO GET WHAT HE DESERVES." When I found out why he was like that I almost cried. I punished myself by holding off to play JFK for a week. Easy to say I went through PW withdraw.

Crazy old lady, she annoyed me at first with just generally being a pain in the first game, helping Edgeworth and leaving me in the dust, but the end of that trial I found okayish, it was when she made her return for JFA and Edgeworth face. I guess I am happy bot being it Edgeworth shoes, but then again I will be this fall. ALL HAIL THE WICKIED WITCH OF THE WITNESS STAND. Everyone found him awsome which made him overated, he acted to cool to, but by the end we know thats a mask so to speak and hes quite a nice sorta modest guy inside, i can see why Mia fell for him.
Do I like him.... more then I did before, but hes still a bit of a pain, lemons anyone...?
I was 17 when I joined this forum. During this time I participated in a thread that made light of sexual assault and event making jokes about it. I didn't think much of it at the time other than portraying a villain. I am older, looking back see how unacceptable & disgusting. I removed the comments because I do not wish to condone this behaviour. But of course fragments remain. I can only apologise for any hurt of distress caused.

Was I the only one, really? I found her bland at the start of the series -- stereotypical sexy mentor -- though I did feel bad about case 1-2. And it kind of bothered me how Phoenix was sooo dependent on her spirit throughout all the games. But in T&T, when we got to play as her, suddenly BAM! She had a personality! And she had some funny lines, too. e. g. Kelis reference
For the same reason as anyone else. I wanted to punch him during that one cross-examination where he kept making those dumb jokes, but I had respect for him by the end of the case.
I found her a little too snobby in the beginning, but as we got to know her, she grew on me a lot. Now she's one of my favorites because of how realistic she is. And beside, I'm a short redhead with glasses too : DFrom like to hate:
I thought he was the BOMB in the first case, but in the fourth, I was just all ... "what?" But I guess I still kinda enjoy him, haha.
I never liked her much, actually. She has one or two funny moments, but I did NOT want to see her in THREE CASES. (Oldbag was in just as many, or maybe only 2, but she was quirky and funny in her own way; I liked her.)Oddly, I never disliked characters like Maya, Oldbag, Sal Manella, or Hotti. I guess I appreciated their ridiculousness. : D

I've always loved her as a character though XD But in terms of character design, I do like her hair better down (2-4) than up (3-2).

At first when I was playing PW3, he just came off to me as some annoying, coffee addict. Didn't really seem into the cases and his objection seemed kinda off. But seeing his past, and playing the games a few times, he's grown on me. I like the guy now, he's pretty cool.
I think that's it. pretty simple for me. haha
don't hate anyone at all.

I had that problem too. I liked her in PW3 when she helped out with
but Mia annoyed me with the fan service and run downs. I much prefer Maya or Pearls in court by Phoenix's side. PW3 is the only reason I'm pro Mia again. Not cause she won Diego's heart, but cause her character improved enough to cancel out the first two games for me :( (Her beauty spot STILL irritates me though...)
