Spoiler: "End of Case 1-2"
I really dislike when I have answers handed to me, such as when I'm stuck on a testimony and have to look up the answer on GameFAQs, and it really annoyed me that Mia handed you the receipt and blatantly told you what to do with it. You didn't get to look at it, find the contradiction, or even get one of those three question screens so you could at least have a chance to figure it out on your own. And then after that, you don't even prove that he is guilty, you simple make him confess to being there by scaring the crap out of him with the list of people he's blackmailed.

Did anyone else think this about the last two pieces of evidence?

Was it really that awful?
I just thought it was hilariously ironic that Phoenix was blackmailing the man who killed Mia...because of blackmail.

I suppose it was ironic now that I think about it. And I could be touchy about it, but I really did find it that awful. Seems like the first two cases in the game made things kinda easy. Of course, I just came off T&T, which is a boatload of present every piece of evidence you have, so maybe I'm just not used to the difficulty level.

Not to mention I ruined the story for myself...

Well it's reasonable to think that it would be easy, considering it was the first game in the series. Two cases was the bare minimum to let people test the waters. Mia held your hand for case one, and she let go albeit not completely in two.

Ah well, I ramble.

I felt ripped off because they killed the breasts.

I mean, seriously, first case, you're all "WOOHOO! LETS GO OUT FOR DRINKS!" and then you're all "lolwut she's dead?" and now you're all "oh hay cute sister."

Dude, that synopsis is pure gold.

When you said "they killed the breasts", I thought you were referring to April...

Anyway, I think the ending of the case was quite Deus Ex Machina (i.e., a resolution that came out of nowhere), but it at least introduced Maya's channeling abilities.

It didn't bother me that much the first time I played it (Though I was still a bit annoyed with how easy the games were and was considering returning it >.> then 1-3 you actually had to think and 1-4/1-5 made me into a fangirl).

Though on replay of 1-2 it really felt kinda cheap, it was more like Mia was the one who won and not you. I mean she deserves to do that since it's her killer and all but.. meh.

I didint care for the ending, but what I hated more was the fact that they showed you the killer at the beginning. Now for the 1st case its okay, but 2nd and on it just aint right.

but yes I did feel kind of ripped off at the end. I always enjoyed presenting that final piece of evidence and the killer going crazy. Not reading a list and watching them have a mental meltdown. but thats just me

Phoenix is quite fickle. Besides, in my opinion, he traded up. :will: 26 and 19 isn't THAT different, either, in the scheme of things.

That didn't actually bother me as much. PW is about the story and how you get the killer to confess, mainly, and 1-2 was still pretty fun (albeit easy) up until the end where they gave it away.

I was quite annoyed, but at least I'm still satisfied because I knew that receipt is something important from the very beginning. There's got to be a reason why that piece of paper is a "receipt" and not a plain piece of paper >D So when Mia gave the list I actually felt satisfied.

The whole "they showed the killer in the beginning" failed for me because I completely forgot the opening of the case and I had to think about which photo I had to take XD~

I find it hilarious that Mia gets channeled in court at her own murder trial and unmasks her own killer and everyone barely reacts.

Yeah, that was the sort of annoying part. It might have been interesting if they only had a "partial channelling" where rather than appear in full-body form, Phoenix just hears Mia, and she tells him to turn over the receipt, and that's it. I thought it was a little unnecessary to completely explain it, especially for the last piece of evidence in the case. It was also a little annoying that everything you did until then was pointless (from the list of names). I would have sort of preferred it if they had jumped the assumptions and called him the murderer just from the receipt.

Well they hold your hand in the first two cases.... Not much we can do about it... The last cases are the best ones.

It bothers me. Part of the fun of Gyakuten Saiban is the turnabout of unexpected culprits. At the very least, 1-2 would have been better with some mystery.
