I've always had a large sense of justice, and sometimes when watching other shows and playing games, I get annoyed by the lack of justice. My brother stole my catchphrases: "I'll see you in court!"
So I was wondering... take some of the most famous cases in fictional history, or make them from what we can grasp, and we could have some very interesting cases here! What are some crossover cases where Phoenix Wright delievers justice in another world? (This is not like that other crossover topic, where Phoenix takes on different jobs. This is him doing his own job in different worlds.)
Here is mine, in the form of a 5-case game. Phoenix Wright: World Defense.
Case 1 - Turnabout Treachery• Jessica Tate has been locked in jail for years over a murder she did not commit. It's time for Phoenix and Maya to bring the case back to life, and expose the treachery, lies, bigotry, and sometimes farfetched truths that unrightfully put her in jail.
Crossover from TV show, Soap. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soap_TV_Show. Built off the premise if Jessica went to jail if the true murderer had not confessed. Inspired by the corruption of the prosecuting attorney, the judge, police, and outside influences.Case 2 - Turnabout Family• Lois Griffyn has been gunned down in her own house, and her daughter, Meg Griffyn, is the prime suspect. Phoenix defends her boldly because of why he became a defense attorney: no one will defend her, not even her own father. As the trial continues, the real murderer becomes more and more clear... but how is Phoenix going to explain the murderer still wears diapers?!
Crossover from TV show, Family Guy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Family_Guy. Built off the idea of Stewie actually pulling off the matricide crime he's always wanted to do, and framing the person he hates second-most. Also made out of sympathy for Meg, who lives the comically-cruel situation that Phoenix and Maya have been through.Case 3 - Turnabout Azeroth• High Tinkerer Mekkatorque, the leader of the gnomes, has been accused of murdering the blood elf ambassador from the Horde. With both the Alliance and Horde ready to lynch the halfling defendant, Phoenix must find out not only the true murderer, but a little more insight on other disasters, like the fall of Gnomeregan and Quel'Thalas.
Crossover from video game, World of Warcraft. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_of_Warcraft. With all the lore and story that game has, it's hard to settle on one.
Case 4 - Turnabout Ensared• Spiderman, our neighborhood-friendly superhero, has been accused of murdering his long-time rival, The Human Torch of the Fantastic Four. Did he really? Was it another superhero? A supervillain? Or could it have been someone who looks like Spiderman... someone with a much darker personality...
Crossover from comic book hero, Spiderman. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiderman. Being a nerd, it's too tempting to imagine a Phoenix Wright trial where Spiderman is accused of a murder that a certain dark supervillain who looks like him committed. Especially with Spiderman 3 soon to come out.
- "Shameless plug?!"
Case 5 - Turnabout Keyblade• The largest case of them all (since of course, it's based of KH and FF, it has to be huge). In Traverse Town, Donald Duck was murdered, and Goofy is the prime suspect. Sora is determined to find out the true murderer of his magic partner, as he's sure it is not his other friend. The case starts to look darker as Phoenix gets deeper, for the Heartless have their own ways of influencing those weak of heart... (the Judge better look out).
Crossover from video game, Kingdom Hearts I & II. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_Hearts. With all the 'weak of heart' corruption that the Heartless could pull off, wouldn't it be great to have to stand up to a judge like the one Phoenix saw in his nightmares in PW2?
