No, you're not the only person who can't see romance between certain characters. However, some relationships are ambiguous, and people interpret them differently. (hell, to use your OTP as an example, there are people who genuinely believe Mia/Diego is either one-sided or else never happened in canon, all because Mia never outright stated that Diego was her boyfriend or that she loved him.)
