I am sorry if this has been said 10000 times before but I cant find it on here.
don't you think there should be a Phoenix Wright TV series?
Wouldn't it be amazing!?!? I would love to hear Edgeworth speaking with an American voice...Oh the thought of it! Bell Boy
Surely It could be done? What do you say? Who can we send the demands to? hehe xxx
Ps, Did you think JFA was a much shorter game? Or was it as I have the hang of it now? When is PW3 out in UK??? xxx

Yeh, there was a big thread bout an anime version, a live action one would suck. I thought JFA was just as long and I answer your PW3 question in your other thread.

I can see it happening; in this format:

Season 1 (Ace Attorney arc)

Episode 1 - The First Turnabout
Episode(s) 2-5 - Turnabout Sisters
Episode(s) 6-11 - Turnabout Samurai
Episode(s) 12-18 - Turnabout Goodbyes

End Season 1

Season 2 (Justice For All arc)

Episode(s) 19-20 - The Lost Turnabout
Episode(s) 21-27 - Reunion, and Turnabout
Episode(s) 28-34 - Turnabout Big Top
Episode(s) 34-43 - Farewell, My Turnabout

End Season 2

And, so-on for Seasons 3 and 4. If they played their cards right, the episodes wouldn't be too long, too short, too tacky, too corny, too cheesy, too over-the-top, or have actors with voices that make you want to chop your ears off. But, then again, given the recent run of dubbed animes what are the chances that fans won't find something to complain about?

Also, take into consideration that the Phoenix Wright fanbase is very small outside of Japan. Television companies would be making peanuts off a TV show like Phoenix Wright. The main thing the vast majority of American teens want in an anime is lots and lots of fighting. Also, consider that the majority of people who watch anime are in their teens to early twenties.

Consisely put, the show would have a good chance of bombing; not to say that I wouldn't want a Phoenix Wright anime.

yeah but we could have fight scenes in it when the murders take place! also the steel and nickel samurai can have fight scenes!
There could be some romance scenes too between some characters and everyone seems to think Phoenix and Edgeworth are together so...Oh no better not go there! hehe!
I would watch it and Im sure 100000's would! xxx

They would probably add lots of filler cases as well, extending the series even more. As to whether that would be a good or bad thing, who knows. It's probably hit or miss.

If people want action, they can make a mini-series (Maybe 10 minutes of an episode if they need to fill in time) of the Steel Samurai! ^^ Or later on the Nickel Samurai. Or even the Pink Princess.

And Rise from the Ashes should be a movie. Seriously, how AWESOME would a movie trailer for rise from the ashes be? I'd love to hear Jake's voice. =D

And i'm sure there would be a lot of filler cases. I just hope they're not stupid like the TGS one. (ZOMG WHOO TOOK MI STEAK DOOD? D:)

And since Phoenix's story is over now in the game the anime people don't have to worry about spoilers and plot inconsistancy with future games. (Until they get to the Odoroki arc, but it might be over by then.)

Gyakuten Saiban would make an awesome anime. It could work if ot borrowed the formula of the manga series, with cases divided into story arcs.

And if the anime Akagi can make long scenes of men flipping over Mah Jong tiles look exciting, the courtroom scenes should be no problem to animate.

Filler episodes could be taken from the manga, depending on how long it lasts. Not to say original episodes wouldn't be cool.

The whole series would be like one big pre-fight DBZ scene D:

If they made a TV series... it could be totally awesome or ruin everything totally. I'm completely torn between wanting one because it could have all the awesomeness of the games plus animations, voices and so on... and really not wanting one. How thrilling could they make wandering around gathering evidence be? In a game it's all fine because it's interactive, but to just sit and watch? I'm not so sure. And, no matter how much I love it in-games, would watching Nick endlessly pressing people's re-re-re-amended testimonies be that great in anime/TV/whatever form?

It would give a well-deserved boost to PW popularity if one was made, though. So long as it didn't get 4Kids-ised when brought into English.

Dannichu: That's never stopped CSI from having investigation scenes. Just think of it as CSI with added Trial scenes.

Also, if they do make a show, anime of Live Action, they shouldn't base it off cases from the game.

Just have a first episode where all main information needed is introduced as they go along. A short one trial episode (sortof like the tutorial level in the games) against Payne, introducing most of the recurring elements you shall see (trials, Maya, Maya/Mia, Gumshoe, Edgeworth, etc), and then they can continue to air episodes with new and unique cases.

It would give even those who have played the games and know the storyline an incentive to watch it. Why watch episodes based off the cases in the game if you already know what's going to happen?

Hehe you're right, Rise From The Ashes would be perfect as a movie for an anime series, right down to the not-fitting-into-the-series-timeline bit.

That it would. I think the name's lovely and catchy too so it might attract people who aren't even GS fans! If there was a TV show and Movie I'm sure GS would get even more popular than it already is :D
I wanna see all the characters animated on TV too ;o; That would be soooo cool! They could have a emo scene in each one for Edgeworth :P

I think an OVA series would be the best route.

That way it could go in detail on a certain case(s?), relationships, etch. Or it could be a completly original story, so as to maintain surprises.

OHMYGODYES.

Good God, he'd be utterly perfect. I am IN LOVE with that guy's voice and he's all cool and calm (I'm thinking more Kratos than Liquid or Leonardo here) and captured the emotions of his characters absolutely perfectly.

And he's GAY. And sings GAY SONGS.

And I'm all for Kari Whalgren as Mia... it's the teachery thing she pulled off as Raine in ToS that does it for me.

Let's see... Tara Strong, Rikku-style (not Presea) would be a good Maya, I reckon. Or even Mae Whitman (Yuffie from FFVII, Katara from Avatar).

Phoenix... I can't think of anyone good for him. :/ Someone who can be INTENSE and yet bitingly sarcastic. Hm...

I can't think of anyone who'd be good as Franziska, either. Someone with a slight, but not over-the-top German accent. Portraying Fran accurately would actually be a very, very hard thing to do. I just hope they'd do better than the person they chose to do her "Objection!".

I really want to put down David Hayter (Snake) as someone, but I can't think of anyone who he'd fit. I mean, Manfred's all gravelly, but I wouldn't be able to take him remotely seriously... and it just wouldn't fit.

This is fun Larry

Cam Clarke is great, but I think he'd sound a bit too old for Edgeworth. And his "youngish" sounding voice just wouldn't fit.

I think Kari Wahlgren (Raine in Tales of Symphonia and Lilika in Rogue Galaxy) would be perfect for Mia's voice, she's got that intelligent, motherly tone to her voice which would really fit the character.
Edit: Didn't even see that part in your post, Dannichu but I'm glad to see someone else agrees with this. XD

As for Phoenix, after watching Phoenix Wright: Liar Liar on Newgrounds, I'm convinced that Jim Carrey would be perfect for Phoenix's voice (I know, never gonna happen XD).

You've honestly never heard of Cam Clarke? You haven't LIVED!

Um, okay.
Stuff that these vpice actors have done:

Cam Clarke - Kratos (Tales of Symphonia), Liquid Snake and Master Miller (MGS), Ryudo (Grandia II), Leonardo (TMNT), Simba (Kingdom Hearts II), Kaneda (Akira) and loads of other stuff besides.

Kari Wahlgren - Raine (Tales of Symphonia), Ashe (Final Fantasy XII), Karin (Shadow Hearts II), Shelke (Dirge of Cerberus), Fuu (Samurai Champloo) Haruko (FLCL), Setsuka (Soulcalibur II), Kotoko and Yumi (Chobits)... and loads of other stuff, too.

Mae Whitman - Yuffie (FFVII: Advent Children, Kingdom Hearts II), Katara (Avatar: TLA) and some movie stuff.

Tara Strong - Presea and Corrine (Tales of Symphonia), Rikku (FFX, X-2 and Kingdom Hearts II), Tara (Kim Possible), Ursula and Elisa (MGS Portable Ops), Timmy Turner (Fairly Odd Parents), Raven (Teen Titans), KAEDE Smith (Killer7) and... woah, that's a mixed list O.o

David Hayter - SNAAAAKE! Of both the Solid and Naked varieties. Plus Lupin III (Lupin III, unsurprisingly) and Taka and Tamahome (Fushugi Yuugi).

I'm sure you're familier with at least some of thier work, if not the VAs themselves.

I admit I did use imdb for some of that, but I DO stalk voice actors mercilessly.

Dee Bradley Baker is a good choice for Nick, actually. He certainly did a good job as Braska in FFX.

Jennifer Hale's voice is <3.

Actually, she'd be a really good Maya. Thinking about it, maybe Tara Strong would make a better Pearl? I think Maya'd annoy me if she was that squeaky, but it suits Pearl better.

Hedy Buress (Yuna, among other things) would be a perfect Ini. Because she sounds retarded and stupid and like she has no idea what she's talking about.

James Arnold-Taylor (Tidus, Mithos Yggdrasil) would make a decent Larry, I thought. But he could pull off an evil character really well, too...

Still no idea on Franziksa, though.

And Paul Eiding (Colonel Campbell) should TOTALLY voice the Judge. Only be less serious - more "I need scissors! 61!" than "Snake, you have to rescue the President."

And they should get the guy who voiced Brian's mother in Monty Python's Life of Brian to voice Oldbag. Just because. xD

Hm, perhaps I should play my Tales of Symphonia game more? I haven't had any time to play it this year, seriously. Maybe over the summer. And, I'm now somewhat familiar with these VAs. I never pay attention to which VA plays which character. =/

Well, learning who voices which fictional character isn't a particularly normal pasttime, so I think you can be forgiven for not knowing who plays who :D

You should play ToS, though. It's one of my favorite games in the world ever. The characters, the music, the graphics (I'm a sucker for cel-shaded stuff)... And it has a pretty all-star voice acting cast to boot (James Arnold-Taylor, Cam Clarke, Tara Strong, Jennifer Hale, Kari Wahlgren, Crispin Freeman...).

Godot!

Imagine this in Snake's voice:

"Filled to the brim with darkness deeper than night, with bitterness hotter than the depths of hell - that's coffee."
Blacker than a moonless night,
hotter and more bitter than
Hell itself... That is coffee.

They should have a flash back episode that has a case where Gregory is the defense attorney. He's always interested me for some reason.

As for the voice acting, we should have the person who does the voice for Solidus Snake do the voice for Von Karma. And the person who does the voice for Otacon do Meekins voice, and the guy who does the voice for, uh, I don't know who should do gumshoe's voice. Sadshoe
